This is an UNLICENSED contracting company, or was when I hired them although Judy Forry the owner, lied and claimed they were licensed. I did not double check. They ruined my home. Every renovation they tried to do has to be re done.
For example:
My new front door was out on backwards, or hung with the in correct swing . They tried to paint it 5 times and it still looks horrible. It had to be sanded down and because of sloppy painting , they tried to sand off paint from the hardware of the door and scratched that. All the hinges were slopped with paint. They were contracted to paint and install several doors but refused to paint both sides unless I hired them for that additional work...they did finally paint all sides of my doors but the inner side of my front door peeled off. Also due to slopping paint everywhere , they tried to hide the mess by painting the weather striping and all the rubber seals which in turn cracked and adhered to the door....everything had to be replaced and now one set of double doors will not lock and have to be kept shut by cinder blocks. The double doors leading to the outside were framed in by what I assume was untreated wood and even nail holes were not filled. The door frame is now warping and peeling. The wall built to enclose my porch leaks and because they used spackle or some sort of drywall compound, within days of being built it cracked and crumbled. Again I was told that if I wanted them to finish the wall, I had to hire them and pay more since I did not specify I wanted them to complete the wall...I was told that if I just painted over the spackle it would weather proof it....the window put into this wall was hung crooked and will not lock, and falls in if messed with.
New siding was hung but it buckles and bubbles in the heat and pops outward. It was not finished off correctly and there is raw structure wood hanging out underneath. I against was told that for them to finish and cover the wood hanging out I had to pay more. The garage had a second floor put in for storage. Because the plywood floor was not cut correctly, left over pieces of wood were nailed to the existing beams so the plywood rested on something....it may not be safe to walk on due to that.
I had my windows wrapped in a colored aluminum. They forgot one window and when I pointed it out I was told it would cost more and was given a creative equation of how they counted my windows and why one was left out....the windows were caulked severely and the caulk has since started pulling way from the aluminum, letting in rain around the sashes.
Trim was put up inside the house and while perhaps not done incorrectly , it was not done professionally. In on meme sections there are more than 20-30 nail holes per few inches, gaps and bulges from it being pieced together. And when I asked about how to fix the bulges Judy Forry point blank told me they did not put the trim up so it wasn't their responsibility, I had to remind her that yes they did and then it was back to I could hire them to fix it. They were to do someone interior painting for $1500 but when the time came the price jumped to $4500.
I had to pay, upfront, 50% and the remaining balance Judy Forry would spin a sad story about needing before the job was done, for broken equipment or they could not finish the work.
She also claimed the work would be done so we could move in by July 16th. We fired them Sept 11th and could not move till December. I often came to the house and no one was working or even there. At one point Judy Forry claimed the delay was due to one of the workers having a triple heart attack, and yet days later she had him on a ladder working? There were often dramatic emergencies that were the cause of issues and delays....
It is all backed up with numerous photos, documents, and emails. It is my understanding that these people operate by opening new contracting businesses under other peoples names when one is sued....that one is then closed. They may have since applied for an actual license. But I have the paperwork showing no license when they were working on my home, It is also my understanding that as a realtor, Judy Forry Should have a better understanding of basic ethics.
I would tell anyone that, in my opinion, Judy Forry and her husband Brad Forry should not be permitted to work on any home as judging by their lack of knowledge and what contractors who have walked through to give me ideas on costs to fix have said, a child with a hammer possibly do better .
