Paradise Exteriors

On September 16, 2025, I met with a Paradise Exteriors sales representative who first quoted me $113,000 for window and door replacement. After a few “calls with the owner,” the price was lowered to $82,000 on the condition that I sign the contract and pay a $5,000 deposit that same evening. I was assured that under Florida law, I would have three business days to cancel without penalty.
The following day, I emailed the sales representative to cancel. On the morning of September 19th, within the three-day cancellation window—I hand-delivered the signed Notice of Cancellation to their office. Mark Hildreth, Vice President of Operations, signed and misdated the document for September 20 instead of September 19, which would have made it appear I missed the deadline. When I later checked the form in my car, I noticed the incorrect date. I immediately returned to the office, where an employee tried to white out the error; I insisted on a new signature and correct date.
Despite complying fully with Florida Statute §501.025, which requires refunds within ten business days of cancellation, Paradise Exteriors failed to return my $5,000 deposit. When I called, they said it was in review and they actually have 14 days. I reached out to the sales rep and asked to investigate it , I spoke to an employee at a booth they had set up and had him send a strong message back to the owner. None of that helped me get my deposit back, until October 15, 2025—more than three weeks later—I had an attorney send a certified letter. Only then did the owner personally call and hand-deliver the refund that evening.
Based on my research, this appears to be a recurring practice. Public complaints show other consumers waiting for refunds after cancellations. Paradise Exteriors currently has 37 BBB complaints in the past three years.

After a nightmare experience with another local window & door company, we were referred to Paradise Exteriors by several sources. Paradise Exteriors came to our rescue and not only delivered everything they promised but they exceeded our every expectation. We had a very pleasant first meeting with one of their salesmen and then we had two meetings with the company owner - Dan. My wife and I both observed that their entire staff was most helpful, friendly and very professional. They truly made us feel like family.
We had six Soft Lite double hung windows with full screens and two very large patio sliding doors installed. The Soft Lite windows look great, work great and scream Quality inside and out. A team of five installation techs installed everything in one day! What really impressed me was their professionalism and, from the moment they arrived, they treated our home like it was theirs. Everything was covered with protective covers and they took extra precautions with things like our new furniture and my electronics. I also appreciated that they took time to answer my questions and they made sure to instruct us in the proper operation and care of our new products. They used very high quality installation materials which really makes a difference. Before they finished they not only cleaned up inside and outside around our home but also cleaned every window and door - glass & frames. Our new Soft Lite windows are high impact hurricane rated and they are impressively quiet and very energy efficient. The inspector who did the final inspection complimented the product as well as the Paradise Exteriors installation and the job passed without even the slightest issue.
My wife and I have discovered that there seem to be an endless amount of window and door companies in South Florida and yet we now believe that Paradise is THE company to hire if you want professionalism, quality installation, a very impressive quality product and a fair price.
