    We purchased a new home in PM's Soliel at Laurel Canyon in July 2018. Problems that were identified by the independent inspector prior to closing are yet to be corrected. Residents refer to their warranty man as "Jeff the BS Artist"- he promises everything and delivers almost nothing.
    The interior fiinsh work is about the same quality I would expect in a trailer park - we spent almost a half million and got this. Short walls are not straight. Some tiles came loose in the shower and I found they were stuck down with double face tape! The bathtub was severely scratched where someone had stood with dirty boots - they sprayed it with some plastic stuff - we did not purchase a tub with spray on finish - tough. Literally every home has problems with sewer lines stopping up. I have a file a half inch thick. Of about 50 emails, NOT ONE HAS EVER been answered. When I finally get the warranty man to answer his phone, its always the same "I'll get right in it" - nothing happens. My advice is to go somewhere else.

    Customer service is a weak point. As a buyer, our warranty book was never provided to us and any verbal assertions are not to be relied on. Finish work in our home was poorly done and corners were cut. Warranty work is a nightmare. Seven months of doing the legwork and begging for information, we finally have a window replaced. Our warranty representative was disrespectful, rude, hostile and primarily just non-responsive. Contact information for the company is well hidden, phone numbers blocked, general contact email addresses with little response. If you are a buyer looking for new construction homes, all builders are not created equal and I would encourage you to stay away from Patrick Malloy.
