  They replaced the fascia and gutters

  From the initial quote on replacing the fascia and gutters on my house, to the workers tearing off and replacing the fascia and gutters I was extremely pleased with the quality of their work. They did a great job of cleaning up the yard after they were done. The owner, Raithe, who is so easy to work with and communicate with, personally went around the house to be sure everything was completed to his and my satisfaction . The new fascia and gutters make the house look great. If you are looking for someone to update the look and feel of your home, Patriot Home Services of Iowa is who you should contact. I'm so pleased with the completed results.

  I also do not like leave poor reviews, but future people that want a job done and done correctly do not hire this company.
  Raithe is a good kid but needs a lot more skill, help, workers and a secretary. He is not a very good business man and you have to have both when you are working on getting your own business together.
  He told me to start demo on my remodel on Aug. 22nd and they would get started the next week. It is now Oct. 28th and they have put a subfloor in and that is it. The floor should of never been put in before the roof was raised and the electrical, plumbing and hvac was done. He also did not put any insulation underneath subfloor. Floor now needs to be torn up and done right. I have asked for receipts and work to be done with only snotty or disrespectful responses. My house is still torn up, plastic hanging everywhere and kitchen items in boxes instead of in cabinets that were torn out, on his command. My new cabinets, stove, microwave are sitting in my living room because no progress is being done on remodel. Very disappointed in this young man, I was excited for him and for myself. I wanted to give him a chance a chance to build his business and get his name out there, I did not want his name out there for the wrong reasons.

  Single Car Garage Addition

  This is a tough review for me to write as I really do not feel comfortable leaving poor reviews, but I felt the need to voice a few concerns. We hired them to put a single car addition onto our current two-car garage. We signed the contract in May 2019 for them to begin July 1st and be completed by August 19 or at the latest Labor Day weekend. After 5 months (November) we finally fired them and completed the job ourselves (gutter installation, Vulkem the siding, finish french drain, bury tiling, finish drop stairs to the attic, frame & trim the garage door, dig out the electric box they buried, and come spring we need to use a leveling agent because the garage floor is not level and takes on water during rain). They ended up taking off our existing roof to the garage (to tie the two together) on a Thursday and didn't show back up until Tuesday for more work; which was a normal work ethic for them. It rained, which destroyed all the drywall in the current garage as well as having quite a bit of water damage into our kitchen ceiling. Even if this was just a streak of bad luck, every professional company has an obligation to pay their bills. We ended up paying the electrician directly (he showed up on our doorstep) and then, luckily, signed a lien waiver proving we were paid in full (last November) for everything...however, It is almost 4 months after-the-fact and we are still getting calls asking how to get a hold of Patriot Home Services of Iowa because they are refusing to answer emails, or phone calls about when they plan on paying their bill from last year. Very disappointed in their lack of commitment and professionalism.
