  Not sure about the bad reviews and this tree service company. I hired Torres for our large property. David Torres was very professional, the office staff responsive and the crew exceptional. I am over the moon with this company.

  Don't use this company. David came out and was very professional but the workers did not complete the job as contracted. Several attempts to have them come back and complete the job but still no one shows up. Very poor service. Hire anyone else!

  I contacted with David Torres of Pedro Torres for a large tree removal on my farm. He did not only not complete the job, but did not pay his equipment contractors. In addition, he did major damage to hillsides , roads, and water lines and cost me a lot of money to repair and complete the job. very poor supervision and do not do what he says he will do.

  Beware! They changed their name to Torres Trees Service now but same terrible work and services as stated by many other homeowners on Yelp. Do not use this company unless you want to spend extra money to hire another company to fix their work! The messed up my $30,000.00 palm trees. They shaved one of the tree trunk too thin and the pineapples on my pine trees don't match. These 2 palms are the focal point of the entrance of my house and now they look horrible! Don't be fooled by David Torres' apologies and promises. He apologized and promised to resolve the problem but never show up on our appointments, never call and never fix the problem. Just a bunch of BS! Unprofessional, unreliable and don't know what they are doing! I urge you to read ALL the 1 star they got on Yelp. I regret not reading them before hiring this company! I will contact the California Contractors State License Board and see if they can do anything with their license. I don't want another homeowner to suffer with them like I have.

  From their speedy (and extremely competitive) estimate to the final result, everything went better than expected. We've already recommended them to our friends and family. Just a really professional company.

  Update at end of review~~

  At 7:30 am the workers took the padlock off of our rear gate, broke into our yard and fired up their chainsaws. It's a good thing the dogs were inside the house or they would have been let out. If they knocked, we didn't hear them, and neither did the dogs. However, rather than have their office call us for access, they chose to break into our yard. Imagine our surprise - Oh yes! We were home! It took me an hour to repair the gate after they left.

  They sent a three man crew, none of whom spoke English. We don't hire non-communicative workers! If we had wanted to to do so, Home Depot is just up the road.

  They absolutely MUTILATED our beautiful 100+ year old, 30ft Fruitless Mulberry tree. The workers ignored everything we said and revved up their chainsaws to drown us out when we tried to communicate with them - not that they understood what were were saying anyway. One of the workers, Pedro, actually told my elderly mother to shut up!

  David was extremely apologetic, but apologies won't fix the damage done. That will take years. We have been promised that they will send an "arborist" to examine our tree. We'll see. David is a great salesman, very personable, and has been blessed with the gift of gab - but his workers are rude, disrespectful, unprofessional, and exhibited a total disregard for our tree, our property, and the terms of our contract.

  I just spoke with David Torres via telephone and he has given us his verbal assurance that a tree "professional" will balance out our tree and make is it right as it can be made. We are aware that branches cannot be glued back on.

  I understand that he is unhappy about this review. I do intend to post honest progress updates, essentially placing the outcome of the matter solely in the hands of Torres Tree Service.
