    If I could give ZERO stars I would! Beware of his 'Good old boy' demeanor, it lasts only as long as you don't complain to him about his shoddy workmanship. Bought a HIGH END home he built, and in the first year, cracks formed in the walls, especially arched doorways. Brick cracked due to bad foundation. Air Conditioner was wired incorrectly (by James Pelham), and blew out and mother board had to be replaced. Light switches were put in backwards. Light fixtures were not what we agreed upon. If there was a corner that could be cut, he certainly cut it. You've been warned!

    Bought a house that he built - after a few months several small issues and the house looked rushed- the craftsmanship wasn't there- had several small issues - albeit they added up to almost $2k - the AC broke year one, one wall was warped and the fixtures were not plum- the insulation was the cheapest possible- once we get enough money will redo that- other issues Roof, AC unit, replace toilet. Do not get taken by his "awe shucks" "good ole boy"attitude - he's here to make money and build your house as cheap as he can- when asked to help repair it he made very little effort- we finally got fed up and got ppl to fix the issues. Our Neighbors had same issues w him and he lied about other houses being built around us- anyway, have someone do a house inspection YOU hired not a realtor, make sure the fixes are there- lesson learned for us and though it may not seem like much we've paid $2k so far in just the first two years on getting things redone properly.

    Bought a house.

    Not very good a building big houses. My two year old driveway has multiple cracks in it and when notified of it back in 2015 James had it re-sealed. It's worse now than ever. All our hardwood floors squeak and make noises. Again nothing done from James. Buyer think twice.....

    James Pelham built our home in 2012. Any small issues we had after we moved in, Mr. Pelham had fixed immediately. He was always extremely friendly on the phone and never made me feel like I were bothering him. Almost four years and our house is still in great shape. No crazy horror stories here. If you want a home built, definitely feel comfortable using Mr. Pelham.

    I bought a James Pelham built house this year and it is so wonderful! It is a brand new home in Clarksville, TN. Real hardwood floors and granite counter tops. We have called James a couple times to ask him questions about our home or to have him come look at something for us and he is always here within the hour. All of our neighbors as well as us only have great things to say about James Pelham. I would recommend anyone to him!

    Cheap, corner cutting builder. Too many examples as too why. I wish I had researched this builder before i bought a home from him. Our home is 3 years old and I'm slowly replacing every major item. Avoid James Pelham!
