Philip Leung
Owner
Beware of Mr. Philip Leung and his company:
PENINSULA HOME BUILDERS, INC.
Months after our home was built he NEVER followed through on the "punch list" of defects, including some very big items: improperly installed porch double-doors, an improperly installed wooden fence surrounding the entire property, improperly installed siding (nail holes 1-1 1/2" above the designated lines), improperly cut wood that was never weatherproofed, improperly hung kitchen cabinets,...the list could go on and on. To date, Mr. Leung continues to throw the "occupancy permit" in our face as his solution for not being responsible.
This man is a rude and shoddy builder who cut so many corners and used such JUNK for materials. After several attempts to rectify this amicably (and he even received encouragement to do the right thing from the Building Inspector twice) we will have no choice but to take legal action. It's a good thing we have a paper trail...do not trust this man.
Two homes (we are a "condo association" as we share the same foundation/center wall/stairway to front doors, etc...) are falling to pieces and have been since day one. He went back on his word. First, he tried to blame the manufacturer. Next, he blamed the weather. Last, he blamed it on new construction near our home. He lied. We have had TWO different Structural Engineers and TWO home builders assess our situation. All four came to the same conclusion: BUILDER ERROR/NEGLIGENCE.
He has ruined what should have been a really wonderful first home, here in Newton.
