  Jeff Pennington and his crew have installed five homes for me. Two of which are listed on this page in the permitting section. Jeff is professional and committed to doing the right thing. I could not sing his praises higher. He's an honest guy who will do the best by his clients.

  Extremely satisfied with Mr. Pennington and his crew during my new roof remodel. I know this has been an extremely BUSY time with the rain and leaks, however, Mr. Pennington communicated with me every step of the way. He is a true professional and my roof looks amazing.

  I had the impression that Jeff was trustworthy and having already had very bad experience with roofers I thought I was hiring someone who wouldn’t try to screw me over. No one should be threatened or be made to feel unsafe for wanting to make sure their $21,000 didn’t pay for a moldy, water damaged wall/ceiling; which is exactly what I have.

  Jeff will hire his cousins to do work for him, when they forget to heat weld a junction and allow water to flood a wall for nearly two hours—Jeff will call them a dumbass—when that same cousin didn’t actually fix it the first time and the next day’s rain you have more water coming from the same place—Jeff will come out and fix the weld himself in the rain(sincerely, thank you for that), but Jeff will not offer to make sure the wall is dry inside, or that no damage occurred even despite signs of pooling with water coming out of multiple places in ceiling. EVEN BETTER YET, it turns out the same cousin failed to properly taper that very junction, requiring deconstruction and installation of a $1,250 tapering system, which I accepted. Unfortunately, Jeff left before the work was done and by the time it rained for 20 minutes I again—FOR THE THIRD TIME—had water in the same spot! Before the third time I had let Jeff know in person that I was seeking mold remediation services because the wall smelled of mildew, Jeff said nothing. Jeff’s remedy for the crew allowing the leak was to force them to work on Saturday, “mandatory work day” he said like that had anything to do with the mistake. Half of his crew didn’t even show up that day, Jeff said they were fired (they weren’t), but STILL Jeff PROMISED they would be there the next day, Sunday. NOT ONE person showed up Sunday, not even Jeff. No text, no call, just nothing. No rain that day either.

  THE BEST PART is Jeff Pennington will call you at 8 in the morning with some made up story he has that you were conspiring with the inspector to invalidate his work. Hurl verbal abuse calling you a liar, and a manipulator. He will scream over you, say “fuck you” and hang-up multiple times like a child. I never cursed or raised my voice but Jeff thought he could bully me I guess. Even after I called the inspector himself, Frank, and validated that no such clandestine meeting happened Jeff maintained that I was trying not to pay him, that I should "watch over my shoulder". I said I wanted to make sure there wasn’t any damaged caused by their work and that I fully intend on paying, offering then a 50% payment, the rest after I know there is nothing left un-done. Jeff tells me he doesn’t want the money and that I should just “watch my back for the rest of my life.” A few minutes later Jeff will threaten to put a lien on my house, even after I stated my intent to pay multiple times.

  The silliest part of it all he asks me, “Why did you hire me if you don’t trust me?” I said how could I trust you, I had to catch several things, misaligned decking and fascia. Missed soffit repairs, 24 foot gutters hanging up by only 1/8th an inch of screw, with little to no pitch. Every single one of those things I caught, Jeff wasn’t there. A couple days he didn’t show up at all.

  The people he left in charge apologized when I pointed out issues and were very nice. The ladies who run the office were very nice and their careers might be better suited if they didn’t revolve around such a belligerent person. Jeff will be burned out in a couple years if he keeps it up like this. He is too busy to do a good job and too immature to admit he’s in over his head.
