Pepe's Pools did an outstanding job in putting in a new skimmer at one of my service accounts and also a new Color Changing light at another. He completely remodeled another account and was professional and provided excellent service.

Pepe is irresponsible and said that the cement mixture was too thin, yet still poured around our pool causing cracks, and he won't return our calls now. His assistant says he's always in Mexico building over there, which is more important to him than his customers here in the U.s.

Pepe used a mishmash of plumbing materials. We later had leaks in our spigots, and discovered that he used gas pipes for water pipes. We had to have plumber redo six of our spigots. We also recently discovered that he used a very cheap grade of PVC drain pipes and only glued one out of every three of them. There were 100 lineal feet of them installed.
As we are having further construction done at our home, we fear what may lie beneath our concrete patio and pool. We seem to be uncovering more and more of his shoddy workmanship.
pepe also put in a T connector on a drain pipe where a Y connector should have been installed, which could have been a major disaster should we have had any blockage. The cheapest materials were used a corners were cut to increases his profit at our expense. We fear that we will have problems in the future, and notice that his name is not listed under the license number he presented on his business card which we checked on the state website. -

Be aware of this contractor PEPE. I paid him over $6,500 to re-do my pool and all happy while collecting the money and 2 months later my pool has massive stains all over it. Of course he disapeared and never returns any of my calls. I am in the process of suing him. DONT USE HIM.

OK work, poor communication, sporadic response times, zero follow-up accountability.
We were referred by a friend in the Pasadena area. While not the cheapest (we were willing to pay a premium for quality service), we awarded Pepe with replacing our filter, adding a salt water chlorinator, acid-etching our pool and maintenance thereafter. After a couple weeks of no responses, his team suddenly came in and completed the work.
Now two months after the work was completed, our pool is filthy. Cloudy water, algae growing inside, and zero communication from Pepe. He took on regular maintenance professional who comes sporadically at best.
If Pepe and team would keep consistent communication and follow-up on what they promised, I am sure their reputation would be stronger. But after talking to a few of his other customers, it appears drop-offs in communication and performance is a common theme.
