We have lived in our home for 18 months now. We are very disappointed. The carpet is very cheap even though we were told it was a high quality carpet. Our floors look poor (vynl planks) was not leveled properly, and the floor guy never came back to finish trimming it out. The sub floors squeak.
Our stucco is cracking in many places.
Our appliance package was poor, our microwave has already died, no warranty aften 18 mo. (Whirlpool stainless package).
Corners were Cut everywhere and communication was poor. Pepperdign used a third party general contractor who apparently used poor subs to save a few bucks.
There were isses and aggrivations at every stage and we regret our choice. -

We have experienced long delays between sub contractors and when they do show up, they only do a partial job. We are coming up on 7 months from the time that permits we're taken out and Pepperdign doesn't seem to have any urgency in getting the house completed. With exceptions for the framing (the framers were horrible) We are pleased with the overall quality of the build job. You do get a few upgraded items that a normal track builder does not offer.
Beware of the sales team because they will promise things in emails and then not follow through if it is not included in the contract. We have lost $7000.00 due to broken promises. You can't take them at their word, not very trustworthy.

They built my custom home in utah county and I just came across this and felt I should at leat throw them a bone. I love my home. They did everything I asked them to do and it couldn't have gone smoother. Eric who is an owner has answered every phone call I've made and has always followed up with me on warranty items. Not many custom home builders willing to put the home loan in their name and set the price up front which is why I first went with them and then actually honor the price, it took all the fear out of it for me. Highly recommend and have...4 other friends of mine have used them and feel the same way.
