Took the upfront money and ran. Didn't start job until asked for a refund. 2months. 24x48 pad not level low places. Estatement from another contractor to do 2nd pour to correct $9000. Recommend you ask for references and don't give money!

I signed a contract with Performance Concrete and Contracting LLC on 7-21-2022 and that's when my nightmare began. He led me to believe that he had a crew, well his crew consisted of himself and his cousin who by his own words said he weighed 400 lbs. and who eventually kicked his shoes off and was barefoot. After calling me twice and promising to start work then not showing I called him and threatened to cancel the job, he then showed up on September 26. After pouring the pad on Oct. 9 when it dried. I could stand in driveway and see that it was not level, there are large areas that are like bowls you can spray water on it and there are places it stands 1/2 inch deep, one back corner is 1 1/4 inch lower than the front, he said it has settled I asked him if concrete bends cause there are no cracks relative to the low corner. He said it was within ACI standards and he wasn't doing anything about it. On Oct. 22 I told him to packup all his stuff and leave. Bottom line is that if you hire this guy he will want a large up front payment and in his mind he thinks that whatever terrible job he gives you that you will just have to live with it and there is nothing you can do about it. And don't expect any kind of refund back. He has no crew the day he poured the concrete there was him, his cousin and a high school boy. He said his mother usually helps pour but she had to go to a funeral that day. Any concrete person will tell you that is not enough people to do that size pour.
