BUYER BEWARE!!
Steve Thompson is dishonest and rude.
He was at our house for just over 6 hours to do what he called an "easy job" of reattaching plumbing on 4 sinks, reconnecting an oven & dishwasher, and fixing 2 toilets.
I was at the house when he started, there was no one with him, we talked about the job, I went to the hardware store to purchase 2 parts for him, when I returned no one was with him, I gave him the parts & left, when I returned he hadn't finished one of the sinks but said my husband could go get the part & do it & no one was with him.
He told me at the end of the job that he'd run into a problem & needed to call in some help. He then charged us for 3 guys labor for 8 hours at a $10/hr higher labor rate than he'd charged a few weeks prior.
HE WAS NOT IN OUR HOUSE FOR 8 HOURS & THERE WERE NO MEN WITH HIM WHEN I WAS AT THE HOUSE.
We questioned his hours & changed labor rate because he wasn't physically in our house for 8 hours & didn't notify us of a rate increase or any problems with our job.
He could not justify the time, didn't address the labor rate, there was no proof that anyone else had even been to our house, & instead was very rude saying we should fight the urge to be cheap.
We asked another contractor about each of the jobs & he said they could've all been easily done by 1 person in 6 hours.
We are very disappointed that he would screw us over & hope that no one else will hire him & deal with the same dishonest rude treatment we did.
We had planned to hire him for future jobs but will NEVER hire him again.
