A friend that works with commercial solar installations recommended we consider Perk Solar for our home. John's company was one of many we considered. We did not want the system on our house which seemed to be an issue for some of them. John was very good at answering the multitude of questions we asked as we researched the purchase. He was responsive and willing to tackle a short timeline, as we told him we were ready to make a decision but it either had to be done in two weeks or wait months until we returned from some scheduled travel. It was done in the time allotted design to SDG&E turn-on. He said they can't always do that, but we had done some previous upgrades that made our overall job very straight forward. All this was done almost 2.5 years ago. In our first two years with the system we've paid only about $10 for electricity (including the monthly service fee).
Be very careful if you are shopping solar that salesmen don't sell you too small of a system, just so they can quote a lower price. Everyone we've talked to used more power than used previously. Something about in your head it is "free". A system planned to provide only your current usage (and in some cases only a portion of your past usage) can be an expensive mistake.
John's bid was minimally more than our 2nd choice, but the work quality was infinitely better (family members used the other company & seeing their installations just made me even happier with our choice). It was a pleasure to work with the owner John Perkins and his Perk Solar team. In two years we had only one instance to call for help. The system never stopped working, but the wifi monitoring wasn't "talking" to our router. We were walked through how to reset it. The panels, inverters and wiring they installed have been flawless. THANKS JOHN!

I walk away from dealing with Perk completely satisfied with their work, professionalism, and attention to detail. My job went very smoothly and the system is producing as expected. I thought enough of Perk Solar to recommend them to my brother who had a system installed by them as well.
