    Finish basement
    $49,000

    It started out well. Arnold Perla senior and junior were personable. I hired them to finish my basement and time was of the essence. They quoted me 6 weeks to complete the job. Took 4 months! The estimate included kitchen cabinets, counters and vanity but they picked colors. I had no input. By time it came to pick kitchen cabinets and such it had been almost 3 months and by that point due to anger and frustration I didn't care anymore that I had no input into how I wanted my basement. They had 4 guys doing the work initially and quality was good. Those 4 were let go and 2 guys that came on board are awful. Everyday their work shoddy and I'd complain to junior. He would resolve my issue. This went on for last 4 weeks. But if work was done right 1st time their wouldn't have been a need for me to complain. Lights in ceiling weren't installed in a straight line. Toilet not centered in bathroom. Water control valve for shower installed up side down. Tub faucet, shower know and shower head not lined up at all. They installed all new wires and there was lighting issues. Also from day 1 I told them I wanted a kitchen island. After 3 months when it was time for kitchen cabinets and I asked about island junior said they never gave an estimate for an island. After multiple conversations with senior and junior about the kitchen island and location and size it took 3 months for him to tell me they're not doing an island. I felt they were finishing their own basement and not mine. Awful
