GREAT START….POOR FOLLOW UP AND FINISH. My first impressions of Perry Roofing were great. I had some small leaks at my office and Kurt came out and patched them at no charge. My next project was an entire new roof on another house. I called them in May 2018 and their inspection was scheduled quickly and their initial proposal was reasonable. They were busy and said they couldn’t do the job for 3 months. They attempted to tarp the roof leak on two occasions so the summer rain would not do any more damage.
Now, at the end of August 2018, one week before the scheduled start of the job, and they tell me their inspector missed the lack of decking needed for the job. They sent me a “Change Order” to their initial proposal that increased the price by 44% which was over $5,000 more on this job. I waited 3 months for this information.
About a week later the job was completed (I assume). I didn’t receive any notice they had finished, just the bill in the mail. Their final invoice was even higher than quoted as they added another $1,367 for items not mentioned on any previous proposals or change orders. I went to look over their work and found the final product to be lacking the quality of workmanship that any reasonable person would expect. There is fascia missing and some of the flashing is a real hack job. And this is just a look from the ground. I can’t imagine what it looks like up there.
I contacted Chris Livingston, my “Roof Consultant”, and informed him of the discrepancies and have not received a response yet almost 3 weeks later. I paid my bill timely and I can only assume this is representative of their “quality” of work.
Choose your roofing contractor wisely. I have learned my lesson with Perry Roofing.

It was horrible. They decided not to follow a signed contract. They got caught placing shingles on existing underlayment that they should have replaced. Then they wanted to leave a wet a moldy plywood on top of my house. I stoped the work and requested to change the rotten plywood. They changed all of it with different thickness no change order and now they claim that I requested that. They forgot inspections. I found out again. The building department excepted pictures in lieu of in progress inspection. They failed twice the final inspection. During the second time they were given list of deficiencies/code violations to correct. It took 9 weeks to do so. I received my final invoice and it reflects that I should pay for correction of the code violations. The final bill is $3000higher then the original signed proposal that they didn't follow in th he first place.
