By Josh B.December 30, 2014Replace water heater$3006 daysTERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICERead more
Perry the Plumber was scheduled through my home warranty company to replace my water heater. This was the worst experience ever. On Dec 22, my home warranty contracted Perry the Plumber to inspect my water heater. After inspection, Perry the Plumber stated that the water heater would need to be replaced. After an initial quote of $180 and authorization through home warranty, the company notified me that they would have to increase the price to $300. After discussion with Perry the Plumber and the confusion on their end, we agreed to pay the $300. After authorization was then achieved through my home warranty company again, we were scheduled for 2 days later (Dec 24) to have a new water heater placed between 1 pm-3 pm. I rearranged my schedule to be home during this time frame and at 1:45 pm I was contacted by Perry the Plumber stating that they would not be able to make it to the house because they thought the warehouse where they get the water heaters from would be open, but they were not. They stated that they had to reschedule us for Dec 26. Because this had put me at a huge inconvenience from a lack of preparation on the businesses end, I felt that there should be some adjustments made from a business aspect. The office clerk notified the technician, who stated there was nothing he could do. I then spoke with the owner and technician myself. I told him that becasue they did not prepare for a business appointment as a proffessional business should do and could not follow through as a business on their end, then I should not be held to the same standards and should have my price reduced. The owner stated he would not do anything for me and that we were just going to have to wait. I explained to him that I would be ok with that if it had been an issue on my part or if it were simply because it was Christmas Eve and that he was running behind and would not be able to get to us but because he had failed as a business professional to uphold a business standard in preparing for a scheduled appointment, then he should make appropriate actions for the customer. He stated he did not know what I wanted from him and that I was just going to have to wait. I then explained to him that we were previously scheduled with a different company, but becasue Perry the Plumber could get out sooner, we decided to contract their services. We could have gone with a different company and that if this is how I would be treated as a customer, I could take my business elsewhere. He stated he would just call our home warranty company and let them know that I wanted to go with a different company and proceeded to hang up on my while I was in mid-sentence with him. I never once stated I wanted to cancel my services with them, just informing him that he was not the only option I had. I immediately called home warranty to notify them of how I was being treated as a customer and to discuss the possibility of having another company. They stated that it would probably be the following week before someone could get out to the house and that if we wanted to have the water heater installed that week we would probably need to stay with that company, unfortunently. They contacted Perry the Plumber to ensure we would stay on the schedule. Our scheduled instillation was kept and the water heater was installed Dec 26. The way I was treated as a customer was completely unprofessional especially being as the business hung up on me during our conversation. I would not recommend their services to anyone.

By John P.July 23, 2014Fix issues that arose from a remodel by another plumber.$$100. I offered him $200, and he would only accept $100.1 day
I had an issue today and Perry came out and diagnosed the issue that another plumber could not. We were in the final days of a remodel, and Perry saved the day! Perry asked for a small fee, I offered him more, and he refused. I was VERY impressed.

By AnonymousJuly 8, 2014Master bath$1,50065 daysTerrible Service with Perry the Plumber aka... Perry's Plumbing
Perry came replaced all that he stated was issue and advised leaks were both fixed. We paid amount he stated wasn't covered by HWA and after he left and "access" was then repaired and we were able to use the master bath we found leak was NOT repaired. At this time both HWA and Perry's Plumbing are stating it is not of their problem and we have to have another plumber come out and provide the "access" again at our own expense.

Do not hire him for anything! You will regret it! He is a total liar and will try to sell you on unnessary repairs. He brought wrong size water heater and instead of getting the correct one he just blocked it up with pices of 2x4 lumber! The idot also used cpvc hot water pipe as electrical conduit! I really don't know how he has a license still.
