  When my wife and I were ready to move forward with the construction of my new home, I started shopping around my area for residential general contractors to employ. We met with close to a dozen different contractors and didn’t feel comfortable entrusting then build of our new home with any of the contractors that we met due to various reasons. When we had thought that all hope in finding a GC that we could be comfortable with were lost, a friend of mine recommended Vance with W.V. Development LLC, who my friend said that he had worked with on past projects as a vendor when Vance was with a larger commercial GC firm in the area prior to Vance going out on his own. I’ve worked in the construction industry for 30 years plus and was skeptical to meet with another GC that I didn’t know, especially a new startup company, but my wife and I decided to give it a chance anyways and just meet him.

  When I first me Vance, my first impression was that we was “Here’s a guy in his early 30’s that more than likely doesn’t know everything it takes to build our home.” After getting to know Vance, working with him, seeing the pride that he takes in everything he does and the quality of the finished product, I have to admit how wrong my first impression was about him. Vance and his team at W.V. Development LLC are incredible. Like I mentioned before, I’ve been in the construction industry for a long time and Vance is different than any other GC that I’ve ever worked with or known of in the past. He and his guys are very honest and have an open book policy on all costs of construction that he bills for. His communication throughout the entire construction process is top notch, so my wife and I hardly ever had a question about anything in regards to schedule, anticipated costs, etc. Even though I knew that Vance had several other commercial and residential projects going on, he always made my wife and I feel like we were the only client he had. When working with Vance, you can tell that he treats all of his projects like his own home when it comes to quality and job cleanliness, and that he absolutely loves what he does. Not to mention that regardless of his age, Vance is one of the most knowledgeable guys I’ve ever met when it comes to the construction process. The boy is just plain fantastic! Vance wasn’t the low bidder on my home, but I’m glad that I went with him regardless of cost.

  I’ve already recommended him to several people construction of their home and everyone I’ve recommended Vance to has called me to thank me for introducing him to them. If anyone who reads this needs a new home in or outside of the Augusta GA area, I would highly recommend that you look Vance up and give him a call. You won’t be disappointed.
