Breached contract! Only because I was home am I able to confirm the following: Contracted to repair porch.Charged for high end flooring but a less expensive flooring was used and THAT was incorrectly installed and confirmed in writing by the manufacturer! I refused to pay the balance. PCC refused to adhere to the contract through Consumer Affairs and therefore I took him to court where he was given a timeline to make good on the contract agreement. PCC agreed to treat existing joist (to minimize rot) as requested by town inspector... PCC chose to complete new flooring w/o adherence. Returned the following AM as though nothing happened his attempt was to complete the job. Only when confronted did PCC visit the town inspector who explained to both PCC and (PCC's) attorney what needed to be done and why. According to town inspector, PCC purchased product and returned to his office for product approval but PCC never returned that day to complete the job! Only after calling PCC about 1PM did he return the following day about 3:30-4PM to complete the job. Refusing again to adhere to the inspector's recommendation and refusal to warranty his work; I refused PCC's incompetence. Currently one of the mahogany steps is cracking where PCC installed a nail! My recommendation, be home and purchase your own products. And make sure your are charges for the exact days worked ex. charged for four days but completed in three!
