    Build a pool and deck

    Love working with Pheonix pools. Communication was fantastic and vision was met. Stayed on track with the project timeline. They exceeded all expectations. Truly professional. Highly recommend!

    We contracted with Phoenix Pools in October of 2018 and we spent a year with them on our project before issuing them a 5 day notice to cure. So to paraphrase our job in a nutshell, we experienced:
    a pool project that was routinely under manned and under supervised;
    numerous instances of poor workmanship and short cuts by Phoenix Pools and the subcontractors they hired; a lack of reasonable diligence in the execution of our project, and subcontractors who were not being paid which severely impacted the progress and quality of our project. Some of the subcontractors used on our job appeared to be unlicensed/uninsured and Phoenix refused to provide evidence to the contrary. And, unfortunately at the end of this process we as homeowners are left to deal with tile falling off our pool and jacuzzi, dead trees and plants, and a zero edge pool that overflows to the point of touching our house when we have people swimming... among other things. If you plan to hire Phoenix Pools and Spas my recommendation is that you get a schedule up front, request a list of all subcontractors and verify their license, insurance, and qualifications. If you are doing a zero or vanishing edge pool, make sure you get calculations up front and have them verified by a non biased third party. If you choose a glass tile print out the manufacturer installation guide and make sure that the installer is installing per guidelines. Perhaps my job was an outlier but I wanted to let others know about our experience so that they can make an informed decision when considering whether or not to contract with Phoenix Pools and Spas.
