Do NOT use this guy! You have been warned. He took over $11k from us (per the contractor board, contractors are only allowed to take 10% off the contracted price, which would have been $1700) and all we are left with is maybe a 1/4 of a fence that is falling apart due to poor workmanship! Then never came back! He has completely blown us off and thinks its ok to do this to local people. We are working with the contractor board and his bond to get our money back so we can finish our fence…again you have been warned.

Excellent work. Employees were quiet, respectful, timely & kept the work area picked up daily. Joe helped me select the right wood - he could have tried to sell me something more costly, but didn't. Price was competitive. Four years after installation, the new posts remain sturdy and the fencing is beautiful. Pioneer Fence has replaced other fences in my neighborhood, and they all still look very good several years later

I would NOT recommend him to anyone. First off, he started to dig holes for the gate posts and almost threw the dirt on our new gravel driveway. My wife stopped him long enough to get a tarp. The bottom gate hinge needs to be cut off and replaced and welded properly. The gate control arm is at an angle causing some binding. In his contract he charged for a Knox box for the fire department, then told us the fire department does not want the box and that he is supposed to put a code in a wireless gate opener and give it the the fire department. Two problems, the fire department did NOT tell him the Knox box is bad as they recommend it and have the necessary forms to submit. What he didn't know was we are acquainted with the fire chief and for over 14 years. Secondly he did NOT give the gate code to the fire department. We had to change the code so he wouldn't have access. He would not adjust his bill. The Contractors State License Board sided with us and had him reimburse us for the fraudulent overcharge. BTW, he did NOT have Workers Comp even though he had a helper every time he came. Note: a year later he got Workers Comp. He placed the gate control box just above the ground even though I asked him to put it up so as not to have to get on the ground to access it. He refused so after he left, I remounted the box. There's much more but who is really going to read this?
BTW, he has lost three gate jobs for trying to cheat us... -

Pioneer Fence did an excellent job of fencing around my home. This spring I had a wildflower meadow that I have never been able to grow before. The fence keeps out all the animals that eat my plants except, of coarse, the turkeys and squirrels. Plus the fence is very attractive. Joe Pryer was very accommodating to my requests and easy to work with. I highly recommend him for your fencing needs.
