Piper Roofing

After reading the reviews below, I was not gong to call Piper to tear down and rebuild my mom's garage. However, after REREADING Piper's honest response to each of the negative reviews and chatting with him in person, I decided to give them a chance.

I am so glad that I did! Piper did excellent work on my mom's garage! He answered all of my questions to my satisfaction. He was patient, kind, respectable, and never made us feel like he was taking advantage of us. He was also very responsive. Responded to all of my text messages and calls in a timely fashion throughout the duration of the project. I was never left wondering if he "took the money and ran". He showed up each day of the project on time. If he was going to be late, he would always let me know. Piper also ended up doing another big project for us after the garage work was completed. We received the same level of service both times and his pricing was good too.. Because we live in a not so great neighborhood, Piper took the time each day to make sure all doors and gates were locked behind them. They also cleaned up behind themselves very well.

I had a great experience with Piper and highly recommend them.

My experience with Mr Piper ended up with a judgement placed against him for $159,000.00, for the damages that he did to me, and my property.
It took him over a year to not complete a job, that I’d given him monies up front for materials, and after our contract was signed in August, he came back in February for more money to continue with the work.
Just a word to the wise, if you are going to be conducting business with Mr. Piper, be sure to get his bonding information, and insurance information, and a performance bond, before any monies are exchanged.

Piper came out. Gave me a good quote. I accepted the quote. He asked for material money down and I gave it to him. I have a large roof so we needed multiple days . The next time the weather was good for three days he was here and did the job no problems. I've recommended him to friends and he did their job with no problems. Recently I called him to do snow removal off of a roof. once again another good job.

We had a contract with Piper to do work on our roof and complete some tuckpointing. Who knows if he ever did the roof since I can’t go up there to see it, but he never competed the tuckpointing. Charged us $800 and said we had a 15 year warranty but never did the work. We’ve been trying for two weeks to contact him to either complete the work or give us a refund but he will not reply to text messages and his work phone is disconnected.

I hired piper to tear off a rear section of roof on my rec room, he came in and asked for money for materials i gladiey gave it to him and his crew did the roof job in 4 hours . The problem is they never hauled the old shingles away and left thier equipment. I calleb him 7 times in 9 days and someone came by and picked up the equipment but never touched the pile of old shingles 2 layer tear off alot of mess, he cashed the check and wont call me back at all. I have a receipt and warrenty , but what good is it, can anyone tell me what my next step is, toms a nice guy dut do not hire him, blue island resident very unhappy.

I was hoping that I could leave a great review for Piper but I can't In september of 2013 I entered in to contract with piper to tear off my complete roof and reshingle, Tom stated that he would pull all needed permits and arrange for a dumpster, he also asked and received a down payment of $2500.00 dollars to cover costs and materials. The months went by and in December 2013 I contacted Home Depot home services and my new roof was installed in less than a week. If you want a roofer who will gladly take your money, give you every excuse in the book, promise you everything that you want to hear, Please by all means use Piper roofing, But if you really want a great roof done by purely professionals roofers PLEASE go with anyone but do not use PIPER.
