Terrible experience. Hired them to un-hardwire a dishwasher & install an electrical outlet per new city code, pull out a piece of rubber from my sink basket that was stuck there (I could have done with a screwdriver but figured since they were there I'd ask them), and to remove teflon tape and replace a piece on my pipe (I sent a photo to Josh specifying) a handyman told me would lengthen the time on my pipes bc they're old. They didn't do the pipe work (said it wasn't needed); yet took a closed box of an expensive new faucet in a bathroom (for me to return - it didn't match) and installed one piece from it in the sink (I didn't ask for this!). Now it is non-returnable and what's installed doesn't match. Charged me on a vague bill 5.5 hours at $637.50 for essentially installing my dishwasher & doing things I didn't ask for or want. (& they took away my old dishwasher which I was selling elsewhere; so I've lost that money too). And, my original work still needs to be done. I went out of town before having a chance to talk to Josh to discover all the above & left a check on my counter while we were figuring out what needed to be completed & what the $637.50 was for, since they did not do the work (which a handyman said was less than an hour & simple for all I wanted; I thought a "professional company" would be better than a handyman since the dishwasher was electrical work near water supplies). New dishwasher was put in but they didn't confirm it is not hardwired/up to code (despite my asking) and I have a 5.5 hour bill for $637.50 for other stuff Josh claims they did that I didn't ask for. We were in dispute and Covid hit with shelter in place. We texted & he said he would go get the work done but I was not understanding his terminology and how this would affect pricing, and I wanted my handyman to come see if the dishwasher was done properly. We had not landed on any agreement, and at NO time did I give him permission to re-enter my home/condo; we were in dispute. Somehow, Josh got into my home without permission, entered, took the money from my counter and left. I have since spoken to a neighbor who has also had bad experiences. I do NOT recommend using Josh at PJB. If you do, make sure you get quotes & solid pricing for exact description of work up front, & verify work he says is done has actually been done, and that he can not get into your home later to take money he thinks should be his.
