    Preston Webb of PL Webb Construction did a kitchen remodel and served as general contractor to coordinate repairs from a burst pipe. He is excellent, and I would highly recommend him and his work to anyone in the area. He is honest, knowledgeable, conscientious, does excellent work and did a great job of recommending other subcontractors. In some cases he recommended a single company to do the work (some of which I'd worked with before) and in other cases he gave me a couple of names so I could select who to work with. All around excellent work, and high level of trust in his competence and judgment! Preston has also done work for many others in the area, all of whom have the same positive things to say about him. I've never heard a negative word about him - though other contractors may be a little cheaper on individual jobs, the price difference is really quite minimal, and well worth it for how comprehensively he manages everything.

    We used PL Webb and he personally did excellent work; however, we had issues with the subcontractors he used for electrical and plumbing - there is rampant cronyism in the way the contractors/subs engage each other. I would have to dig to find out which subs caused these issues, but we also worked with Bottom Line Builders (Scott Jenssen) after terminating our relationship with Preston Webb. Both companies are small and I don't know that they have resources to build a house from scratch, though I know Preston has done that in the past. The issue with Preston, apart from his subs, is that he did not like that Wendy and I had "ideas"; he really does fine work on his own but we had an interest in home automation, home theater, upscale appliances and these were areas of which he really had no comfort.

    I can say that Preston understands engineering, loads, and really is a master with wood and construction.
