    AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

Do not hire! Basement is still not finished after 2 years and 3 months. I'm also in the process of suing him. False promises, and straight lies are the only thing that will come out of his mouth. My story is almost identical to everyone's listed here and follows suit with Yelp!, Google reviews, etc. His employees would tell us they were leaving him, before they let him know. This great guy from Poland, we met once. We are lucky to see one guy at our house once every other week who only works for 4-5 hours. Workmanship started off great, but has go down hill as the progress progressed. Asks for project selections over and over, without completing any of the previous milestones. I can't wait for this mess to be over with....

DO NOT HIRE PLAN 2 FINISH!

DO NOT HIRE Plan 2 Finish, Fine Home Renovations, Remodel Inc or any other company managed by Greg Zakucia. Here's some perspective that hopefully causes people to avoid Greg and his companies in any way possible.
We hired Greg Zakucia in 2008 for another basement project, which despite some typical issues, went remarkably well overall. When we purchased our next home in early December 2014, we offered Greg the basement project without any hesitation, provided he agreed to finish the project in 5 months, similar to the time it took for him to complete our first basement.
Despite some hardship to our family, but to accelerate the project and enable the timeline, we agreed not to move into the new home until Greg's work was 90% finished. He gladly accepted the job, the 5 month timeline and our substantial deposit without ever disclosing the other commitments he made to similar customers or without the necessary workers to reasonably satisfy all of his customers.
We can confirm that Greg would only deploy workers on specific projects around the time the next milestone payment was due, while never fully completing every previous milestone.
We can also confirm that getting consistent attention and performance from Greg and his company was a full time job for us.
For us, it has taken daily emails, texts and phone calls to find out when someone would even show up to our home. A good week was getting 4-8 hours of solid work complete. Greg offered an endless list (too many to outline here) of excuses.
It's no wonder Greg had an employee retention problem. In our case and through conversations we had with his employees, Greg's workers regularly had to deal with customer concerns and complaints every day. Our direct discussions with certain employees, who were comfortable to discuss their relationship with Greg, stated they were not getting paid as promised. So it should be no surprise this ultimately led to employee turnover - turnover which Greg could not stay ahead of with new hires. When challenged by us, Greg would say employees didn't leave him - rather he fired them due to their poor work or that they weren't dependable enough. This only created more distrust of Greg and project delays.
Today, our basement project is 75% complete, with some of the previous work (drywall, tile, paint, staining, electrical) needing to be redone due to poor workmanship. Regrettably, Greg has more of our money than we have work completed.
In the end, we feel especially violated by Greg. As repeat customers, we gave him our blind trust. He knowingly took advantage of that trust. We're convinced knew he would not meet our expectations, but still took our money. If Greg is willing to do this to a repeat customer, can you image how he treats new ones?
We truly hope no other people put their trust or money in Greg Zakucia's hands. He does not deserve it and will eventually fail them.

Facts you should know about Plan 2 Finish/ Fine Home Renovations and Gregory Alan Zakucia...

    Oakland County-
People vs. Zakucia Gregory Alan was filed on June 25, 2015.
    09/04/2015 plea guilty ct2.
Date set for sentencing on October 9, 2015 at 8:30am.

Greg Zakucia has been involved in numerous lawsuits under several entity names in Wayne, Oakland and Macomb County.

Greg Zakucia is NOT a licensed builder according to the State of Michigan.

Our story is no different than the other reviews found on Yelp to date. Greg Zakucia left us with an enormous mess. We hired Greg Zakucia to finish our basement in October 2014. at that time we were expecting a baby in April 2015 and needed the basement finished for guests. Greg Zakucia told us he would complete the basement in 2-3 months. Greg Zakucia took our money at the start of each phase and then wouldn't show up for weeks. Beware that Greg Zakucia starts every phase (ie. electrical, plumbing, finish carpentry) but fails to finish anything. In November 2014 he claimed hunting season, in December 2014 he claimed he was dealing with employee issues and that he would double up on crews in the new year. Crews of 3-4 men were never sent to our home except on the days he collected our payments. We moved out of our home for 26 days when our baby was born so that Greg Zakucia could have unlimited access to complete the job. We believed Greg Zakucia would complete our basement during that time but that did not happen. In fact, they didn't complete anything. In May 2015 Greg Zakucia claimed that he had an employee coming from over seas to wrap up our basement in June 2015. We met that employee 2 times. We now know Greg Zakucia never had a Plan 2 Finish. Greg Zakucia robbed our family, don't let him rob yours. Don't trust him, he is a seasoned liar!
