Today is January 14th, 2022. Last October 12, 2021, Plantation Propane installed an underground propane tank near our generator at our home. Soon thereafter, the land around the East side of the tank collapsed inward resulting in a hole which continued to collapse inward for the next few days. I phoned Plantation and was told someone would be out to look at it that week but no one came. Many phone calls later, someone finally came out at the end of November, and he looked at the hole and said that he needed to bring some fill dirt and that he would be back next week. He neither came nor called. I emailed the main office and received an apology and a promise to fix it right away. That was another month ago. No one called or came to fix it. I wrote to Plantation Propane that we are concerned that lawn mowers will fall into this hole and damage both the operator and the equipment. If someone trips into this hole, Plantation Propane is liable since I have notified them in writing of the danger and of their failure to complete their work. They were paid in full, I should have held some of the payment back, but I trusted them. My husband is 90, I am 77, we are both heart patients, and we cannot fill in this hole by ourselves. We should not have to pay someone else to fix the job Plantation failed to complete. The story gets worse if we mention that the tank was buried in the wrong wrong place and red clay from digging the hole was spread evenly over our green lawn which killed the grass. I wish I had never heard of this company.
