Polzin came to the house gave a verbal bid, asked them to put it in writing and when was recieved, the written bid was significantly higher than what was agreed upon. When confronted, they changed bid back and stated they would resend bid out in writing which never came. Six days before job was contracted to start, I received a text message stating they were on their way to my home, they didn't show. The day of job start only one member of the crew showed up on time the elder member was a no show until almost an hour later. He came in and started to demand and bark orders to me as the customer. When I responded in kind, he said he didn't like the attitude. As I was responding he walked away and then started demanding answers on why the western wall had changes to it and wasn't the same as when he looked at it before. Therefore, he wanted more money. I told him No and the reason why the change is because the previous contractor had failed to install the required amount of drywall fastners. He said he didn't care and that he wasn't going to do the job without being paid more money. I said I would tape and mud it then. He said he would not do the finish work over my tape and mud job. Either pay him to do it or they would leave. I agreed to their 150.00 up charge. I then asked him if he had intended to just mud and finish over what was previously there knowing it was installed wrong and his reply was "YES". I then asked him if he was this incompetent with all his customers. He then started to get really nasty, rude and calling me vile names. How could a so called "Professional" be willing to just cover up a blatant building code violation just for more money? I guess if you just want a cover up job and not quality or trustworthiness or ethics Polzin is the way to go.
