I had Mr. Ponce work on the bathroom of my basement, and now I have to re-do it, because it's a VERY POOR quality work. He wasted about $2,000 worth of materials, and I paid him approximately $2,700 for labor, which he doesn't refund. He is not willing to work with us to try to make up for the low quality of work done, even though he charged a high dollar amount for the 300 SQFT area. His card says "Quality work, Insured", but that isn't true, since he won't pay back on materials or labor wasted; and if you complain, he will tell you to "stop crying". We closely looked at the work after the transaction, and had an uninterested third party contractor assess the work, and we observed the following flaws: There was no proper planning. Improper title layout: leaving a big gap on the ceiling (about an inch). There's tile lippage in many segments of the layout, due to improper tile pattern and improper trowel size. Niche area was improperly finished. I wanted pencil trim, which was already ordered and available to him, but instead he installed the metal edging without consulting, and it was not properly placed, which will catch water, not letting it drain. Water will accumulate and sit in the niche. Grout lines don't line up in many segments, which, again, was caused by improper tile layout. Also, he didn't consult what trim size I wanted installed around the door, and the tile was laid out using the wrong door casing size. I HIGHLY DISCOURAGE you to do business with Ponce!

Mr Ponce and his crew did all the tiling at our new Lake Panorama house. He and his crew worked day and night to finish the job because we were in a hurry to have the job done and we were very pleased with the quality of work. Mr Ponce was also very accommodating when we changed our mind about the tiles we wanted on a shower floor. We will certainly use him again.
