I contracted with Pookie's to install stacking washer and dryer in closet of condominium for seriously injured tenant who could no longer use common laundry facilities. I had appliances on will-call at Lowes for Brian to pick up once the plumbing and electrical install was done and paid Brian $1,280.00 (1/2 his estimate) on 9/28/19. Tenant in question was very difficult to work with and Brian went out of his way to accommodate his schedule. After a few weeks of trying it was decided that the tenant was not going to cooperate and the whole thing was called off. I expected to compensate Brian for the time he had spent on the project. Brian emailed that he would be sending out a check on November 11. When refund was not received after a couple weeks I left him a few voice messages days apart. No return call. I sent texts. No answer. I emailed. Seems my email was undeliverable - I had been blocked. It is now the end of January and I still haven't received check or statement or return call/text/email. I would rather not have to file small claims case but I have been ghosted.
