I would like to add to my wife's complaint that Mr Porter says that 'we signed off'. I guess he's right.
Our house was at least 3-4 months over due. We were staying in a Hotel with out of state guests who had come to help us settle in our new home. Mr. Porter said that if we signed off we could move in and he would promptly complete our punch list. Otherwise, he would get back on the job next week as he was to be out of town for several days. More like blackmail than approval. -

I would steer way clear of Mr. Porter. During the building process it appeared that some corners were cut (scrap wood used in framing, no miter cuts for window trim, etc...) He was early in wanting most every draw and walked away from an extensive punch out list. We are still trying to get him to finish what he started as he is very reluctant to do so.
As of this date (8/8/13)
We've had no contact or response from
Mr Porter. His 20 item punch list is still
unresolved. I have contacted his cabinet
maker directly. Mr Nabors, told me he was
"Tired of working for nothing" and refused
to finish our cabinets. I don't know who his
plumber is, or was, and one end of the
house has only half water pressure. We
have further evidence of shoddy workmanship
second hand material and fraudulent
promises. Mr Porter is a con man and a fraud.
