We hired PR Roofing Systems LLC to replace our shingle roof with a metal roof. Don’t fall for “Mr. Nice Guy”. He has a temper, and in our case, caused intentional damage to our property.
He’s a good salesman and that is where it stops.
The “company” consists of one person (Matthew). He hired day laborers to work on our house, all of them unskilled in metal roofing, including himself. The day laborers were also uninsured during the time they were working on our house.
Matthew couldn’t follow simple manufacturer’s instructions and ruined our complete metal package. He left an absolute disaster on our roof. After six long months, we finally agreed to a settlement through mediation with the Arizona Registrar of Contractors. Knowing that we should take what we could get, we were still out thousands of dollars. We had to start over and this time we chose a competent contractor.
When getting new bids, other contractors were appalled by Matthew’s work, is that somebody you want to hire?
DO YOUR HOMEWORK…. Anybody can become a roofing contractor; all you have to do is pass a written test. Being licensed, bonded and insured does little to nothing in protecting the homeowner or your hard earned investment.
