Pratts Complete Home Renovations and Upgrades

This guy is a thief! he took my money and didn't do the job. He is a liar and a scammer. Don't give him any job. He will disappear after he will get you money

We hired John Pratt to do our kitchen addition and deck. The project started 5/17 and he said it would take about 6 weeks. We are on week 11. He would send 1 guy to do the work 3-4 days for a few hours a day. We only saw John when he was asking for the next check. He has received 83% of the money and the final payment was to be paid at completion. He stopped taking our calls and blocked us on FB. He won't come back unless he gets final payment. We have none of the materials that he was supposed to buy with the previous payments which includes: siding, Trex decking, heating element for floor and tile backsplash. He hasn't completed any of the following: floors, electrical, installing appliances, hook up plumbing, painting, backsplash, deck and siding. The work that has been done is no where near adequate.
DO NOT hire John Pratt. He took my money and left us high and dry.

Excellent. John was timely. His work is meticulous. He was in our house for a number of days and was respectful of all occupants as well as the house.

John and his guys did an unbelievable job. Had two bathrooms remodeled and hvac system installed. Price was excellent and they went out of their way to satisfy us. We are planning our kitchen remodeling project now and cant wait for him to use his remarkable creativity. Great company. Highly recommended

John's did a horrible job installing a heat pump and central air in my house. He disappeared before the job is done and the items were left opened and now are contaminated and broken. I called his insurance company to file a claim and he has let his insurance lapse. Do not use him.

John Pratt is unreliable and unethical in his business practices. He did a kitchen/ family room floor for me. He suggested extending it in to another room at a future date. We agreed to accommodated his schedule to provide work for him this week (Dec 12th) I called him three times to see if he would be starting on our agreed time. He never answered my calls and never showed up. Terrible way to run a business !

Hired John to install new HVAC system, hot water heater, duct work and exterior stone facade. He underbid the job, nickel and dimed me to death, repeatedly asked for more money prior to the job being completed. He asked for final payment saying the job was finished and when we arrived and saw it wasn't near completion, refused to pay the final payment until it was all the way complete (as per contract). He got extremely agitated, abusive and sent me threatening text messages, telling me it was my fault he couldn't buy his wife a birthday present or pay his employees. He called my husband a scumbag, threatened to beat him up in front of my son. We had to hire multiple contractors to fix the mistakes he made. The thermostat installed improperly, holes in my new drywall, missing spots in the stone veneer, trim blew off the house because it wasn't secured, mortar was everywhere- all over the side of the house, porch and front door. His workers smoked cigarettes inside my home! I've spent thousands fixing his errors, sued him in civil court and found out he is NOT insured! Do NOT hire this con artist! I'm not the only one this happened to. His work is crap- if he shows up at all after taking your deposit. Filed complaint with attorney general in the hopes that he can't rob another unsuspecting person. We hired him to help rebuild our home after losing everything in a fire and this is how he takes advantage of desperate people.

John Pratt is NOT a reliable contractor. He had wrong estimations to start with, taken a deposit with a promise to start and finish off the work quickly. John Pratt had asked us to write the deposit checks on his name instead of the company name which included the township permit fees. He had issued checks to the township for building permits from a closed bank account which bounced. He did only little work and never responded to phone calls, email or SMS messages.

Please do not enter into any contracts with him. The liability insurance copy he provided to us in June was invalid as he had already cancelled it in April.

He would promise to do everything and will just take the money and not respond after that. We got a referral from our friend who was planning to get his deck built and we reached out to John Pratt. The work on our friend's deck was completed only after two months while we were put on hold and the job was very shoddy.

Please do not trust John Pratt or Pratts Complete Home Renovations. I would not even give a star but that's the least the system is permitting.

Needed a new storm door. Gave $200 deposit for a $500.00 job, but he never showed up to do the job. This was set up for Dec. of 2015 install. We keep calling and he says he'll be out to do the job ( at one point he said he gave the door to one of his workers to do the job and that. That guy stuck it to him. Took off with his money and the door. He never calls back or shows up.Do not trust him!

A total customized project with a personalized touch to fit our household lifestyle and budget. A huge investment that was done on time and precision! Personal touches were added to custom carpentry work done by John are breathtaking. A great experience and highly recommended. Thanks for putting up with all our questions and concerns throughout the project. First class craftsmanship.

What a great experience in such a large investment to my home! John and all the crew involved were courteous and professional throughout the whole job of a total reconstruction and customized project at hand. What a great carpenter loaded with personalized ideas to make my dream kitchen come true! The personalized touches just made the difference from other experiences from other outfits my wife and I encountered. Great price and all work were done on time as estimated . A true professional! We recommend this outfit to all who are looking for quality work with a great price. We also had a new central air and heat system done along with a total reconstruction of a basement that is breathtaking! This outfit will be getting all of my renovations. Thanks, John!

He just stole $16,000 from my elderly mother and disabled sister. That money was earmarked for supplies, including an HVAC unit. The work he did do, when he showed up is substandard at best. Her roof leaks, the foundation for my mothers addition is crooked, the floor bubbles and us a tripping hazard. My sister"s home is in shambles. My mother has been living in a hotel for months and the project was supposed to be 3 weeks.

John was great!! True professional. We got a terrific price and a fabulous new bathroom

Installed kitchen sheet rocked first floor and installed new hvac system. Did a great job would hire him again.

This guy took my friends deposit for her porch in September. Said the job would be started in 2 days. Never showed up doesn't answer or respond to calls. Today is October 20th. Still has her deposit money. Stay away unless you want to give your money away for nothing. He will NEVER SHOW unless he just takes advantage of women..
