We are usually not ones to criticize and give bad reviews...BUT in this circumstance, we feel we would be remiss if we didn't. It would be almost criminal to pass this contractor on to another unsuspecting customer. How this company ever made the Buildzoom site is a wonder to us also. We ended up awarding this contractor the contract to build our whole 16x28 building, and have regretted it ever since. From the foundation up, there was not one phase that was done properly. The cement pour was done without proper plumbing stubouts and shower recess blocking, the framing was done without proper corners to hang the sheetrock, or proper blocking between rooms, there is no insulation in some cavities, the siding was broken at corners when nailing, the roof vents were caulked with white caulk on a dark roof, a 4" door was hung in a 2x6 cut out so the door doesn't even open fully, windows installed are not opening and closing and need realigned, the hot water heater was hooked up backwards with hot to cold and cold to hot, and the pex system was dripping water, the 2x6 in the shower area were cut nearly in two for the shower venting which went sideways through the boards, he had to hire out the sheetrocking and the installation of the AC system because he did not know how to install, but that was after he made an attempt and installed parts wrong, sheetrockers had to reframe in order to hang, he attempted to texture the walls, and after nearly covering the floor, we had to hire someone to redo and complete, he mis-measured the space for the vanity and toilet and we had to cut down our sizes to match his mistakes, he had to do framing over because he left out closets, he installed light boxes so low he had to cut them off and then he cut off the screw holes used to hang the fixture brackets, he had light switches that turned things off, but not on, he installed things like doors and lights in areas where we did not have any on our plans, nearly every phase of the job was done improperly. He quoted us three weeks to do the job and said he had a crew, but 90% of the days he worked alone and about 7 of the days NO ONE showed at all. We were about three weeks behind schedule when we finally asked him to leave. We are still working on completing the building and repairing nearly every item in the building and are now 2 months behind schedule with no real end in site. He asked for more draws of money at nearly every phase beyond the scope and timetable of draws wanting to be paid ahead. He made promises about completion times that we KNEW were lies by the amount of work that was left to be done. He took advantage of our religious nature, even praying with us, all the while not keeping his promises about quality or timeliness. We feel it would be an outright travesty to recommend him to anyone for any project. We are truly sorry that we hired him for our job, and are still paying the price for his ineptitude. We cannot even give him one star.
