    Install security storm door
    $615

A bizarre and overwhelmingly unprofessional experience! My wife and I paid a 30% Restocking/Builders Fee just to completely cut ties with this business, specifically a gentleman named Matt. We paid him to walk away from work he wouldn’t stand behind, as well as to avoid having to experience his disrespectful attitude and demeanor in the future. We paid for a storm door upfront, and agreed to an additional install fee upon completion of the job. Prior to the purchase of the door my wife worked with Brittany, at PRR to select a door that met our wants and needs. Because we wanted our storm door to open on the opposite side of the door frame as the main door (as well as having a full screen and glass), we were told there was only one door to choose from. We agreed on this door which would take an estimated 4 weeks to arrive. On the day of the install, Matt and Brittany from PRR arrived late (which Brittany apologized for). After Matt and Brittany hung the door, Brittany sent my wife (who was at work) a picture of the door via text message to show her how it looked. My wife then informed both Brittany and myself that the door was hanging on the wrong side of the frame. When I went to go see for myself, I opened the door to Matt having a profanity laced tantrum over the fact that they had ordered the wrong door (remember we only had ONE door to choose from according to PRR). Brittany asked Matt twice to stop swearing, and apologized that the wrong door had been ordered. Instead of apologizing for the mistake and making a commitment to make things right, Matt began lying and trying to manipulate me into keeping the door. First he told me that not only would he need to replace the storm door, but he would also need to replace the main door due to the additional work that would need to be done to the bricks on the opposite side of the door frame. I didn’t understand this explanation, and asked him to explain. Matt chose not to explain it to me. After lying failed, he tried to manipulate me by telling me that no one ever installs their storm door to open on the opposite side of their main door, and pointed across the street to a few of my neighbors doors as if to illustrate his point. Brittany began to try and negotiate, offering $100 off the install. I tried to explain that we weren’t denying the work out of principal, but because of the heavy wind we often get from the south, the wind that had damaged and led to the removal of the storm door we had previously. Matt then tried arguing with me that any heavy wind would come from the north, not the south. As if somehow he knew better, even though I’m the one who has been living in my home for three and a half years. This was by leaps and bounds the worst customer service experience I have EVER had! I want to be clear. We didn’t care that they screwed up the order and we’d have to wait another 4-6 weeks for them to get it right. Accidents happen, we’re human, and mistakes are made. This is 100% about Matt’s unapologetic, disrespectful and condescending behavior. The only attempt to make things right was Brittany’s offer to reduce the cost of the install, that’s why there are two stars instead of one.
