New Roof installed as part of a $90,000 remodel leaked three years ago within a couple months after completion. Was given nothing but excuses and promises to "take care of it" for nearly 3 years as more leaks appeared, and unfortunately, we thought we knew him and trusted him at his word. In as late as June of 2012, he was still promising to "take care of it" for us once we had a contractor come out and review the problem and quote a repair. Now in August of 2012, once presented with his requested quote from a legitimate licensed roofing contractor, as he "couldn't find one," his true intent was made clear.
This weekend we received a letter from him saying his license actually expired in 2011 and the issue is now out of warranty. It is clear now he made false promises to keep us from taking further action as he really never really intended to be responsible for his poor oversight of the job, nor the quality of the work. Shameful!
