From the get go, Joshua has been polite, responsive and professional. He actually did what he said he'd do, when he said he'd do it!
This was a big deal for me to hire someone to paint my house. I am so happy I chose Priority One Painting. I have been so pleased with the job he did at every stage, from the initial contact, to the bid process to the completion of the job.
When i noticed a little trim that needed a second coat, he was so professional and had us walk the perimeter of the house to identify any other areas of concern and then handled it with professionalism and grace.
I cant say enough great things about my experience with Joshua and Priority One Painting LLC.

By Robert W.October 30, 2017Exterior house painting$5,000
We needed the exterior of our home painted before winter set in. We contacted 4 painting companies, and although all were responsive, Josh at Priority One Painting provided a responsive bid for the work and agreed to complete the work in our time line. Not only did he complete all work in spite of some inclement weather, he did a beautiful job and went out of his way to see that we were happy with the work. Although there was another bid that was slightly lower than Josh's, that company was unable to assure us that the work would be completed on schedule. To his credit, Josh went out of his way to assure a quality project, even repairing some rot on the trim that was identified during the preparation work. We would absolutely hire Priority One Painting again. And thank you, Josh,. for a job well done!

We hired Priority One to paint 3 rooms and the entryway. Josh came out and gave us a reasonable estimate and start date. Josh stayed in touch with us by phone, email, and texts. He did an excellent job and we are thinking about having him come back to paint another room. He also finished the job earlier than we expected. We will definitely recommend Josh and Priority One to anyone we know who is looking for a painter.

We hired Josh the owner of Priority One Painting to paint the inside of our entire house including the natural knotty pine trim that we wanted him to paint white and remove and wall off a fireplace. He said it would take 60 hours or two weeks and that he would be doing the work himself. Unfortunately we are nearly 3 months into this project and little has gotten done. Instead of doing the work himself he has hired people who continue to do sloppy, shotty work that needs to be redone. He shows up for an hour or so and then leaves someone else to do the work and then because they are not properly trained or supervised they do things the wrong way and then it has to be redone again. I can't leave my house while his workers are here because one happened to mention he was in prison for 5 years for punching a police officer. My daughter is a military police officer so that didn't make me feel very comfortable. Unfortunately I couldn't trust them to be alone in my home. Im assuming he does not do a background check before hiring someone because I can't imagine anyone taking the risk of hiring someone that just got out of jail and allowing them to work alone in someones private home. This is not only putting his company at risk it puts the homeowner at risk. He didn't seem to understand or care that I was uncomfortable with him leaving his employees alone in my home or alone with me in my home. Luckily this particular employee was nice and did not do anything inappropriate. But unfortunately every person he brought in to work did work that had to be redone every time they were here. I can't say how many excuses Josh gave for not showing up. Out of the almost 3 months that this project has been in process they probably have only worked a full day 3 times. Usually they show up for a few hours and then leave. Most of the time Josh doesn't return my phone calls or even pick up when I call. Me and my husband feel incredibly disrespected. We have been very patient. Whenever we voiced our concerns he told us what we wanted to here and then never followed through. Yesterday they were here for a few hours and then left. His father who is helping him promised me the he and Josh would be back later to work. They never showed up, they never called, they never answered or returned our calls. I had to stay home all day waiting for them to come back but they never did. The Same thing happened the previous Monday, Josh said he would be here at 2pm and work through the evening. I waited all afternoon and he never showed up or called or answered my calls. Today was the last straw. His employee said that he would be painting the walls today. I did not understand that because I know they are not finished painting the trim. They continue to do double work like painting a wall before they finish painting the trim and then they have to repaint the wall because they got trim overspray on it. Or sanding my knotty pine trim against the grain instead of with the grain. Or priming and putting bondo on the knots on the pine so they don't bleed through the white paint and then sanding it all off down to the bare wood only to redo the entire process because your not supposed to sand it all off. If Josh had done what he said he would do this would have been done right and on time. But he didn't . So at this point we are out over three thousand dollars that we initially gave Josh to begin the project, we are left with a broken light fixture, a dent in my $5k stainless steel refrigerator, scratched up soap stone kitchen counters, scratched up wood floors, unfinished sanding and painting of knotty pine wood trim and walls that need to be painted and no paint to paint them with, a hole in the wall where they removed a wood stove and didn't finish walling it off, probably another three to five thousand dollars to hire someone else to do the job correctly and almost three months of frustration I can't get back. That is how Priority One Painting made us their priority.

We hired Josh Peltier with Priority One Painting in 2019 to paint the exterior of our apartment complex. We paid him 50% down. Josh started out doing good work. Then he started asking for additional money indicating that our balconies and carports weren’t included. We reluctantly agreed and paid him more money. We paid him over $40k and fully paid him for the exterior painting and he never completed the work. There is a lot of finishing work left, unpainted balconies, carports, railings and doors. He’s even asking for more money to come out. We are being quoted $20k to complete the work from another painter. We filed a case with the CCB for breach of contract but he still doesn’t want to reimburse us for the unfinished work. Josh refuses to return the CCB's call as well.
Be cautious if you are working with Josh and don’t pay him the final payment until all of the work is completed.
