    New home

    The process of buying and building our modular was OK. There were delays, but for the most part it went OK. However, 7 years later we have extensive roof leaks at the roof dormers and Protech has been unresponsive. The tell me to call R Anell or the contractor who did the house set. Now one year later and both R Anell and Protech Builders are unwilling to help me. I do not recommend either of the two companies.

    Build a modular home
    $268,000

    This too has become a nightmare for us with up charges and discrepancies in communication and delays in building. They’ve already received over $50,000 from us and no construction has begun. They stated it was state law to have at least 50% LED lights in the home but, we specified in a meeting that my wife had to fly up to from Florida to Virginia that we could not have any LED lights in the home and that they must be incandescent. Cost of the septic tank was inflated because they said they had to install a pump due to the location of the septic tank which I find ridiculous since we’ve owned 20 acres. In the contract they only allow litigation in Nelson county Virginia and it is come to my attention that there are relatives within the county system creating an uneven playing field.

    This has been a complete nightmare and I just want to say to Pro tech owners contractors and subcontractors...this home was supposed to be my dream home and I used all of my money to purchase it. The work is sloppy no one returns your calls or replies to your messages when you reach out. They take no pride in what they do and doesn't care about the homeowner and their kids only the money they get from the sale. I've cried so many days and nights over what they refused to do won't fix in my home. I've felt helpless throughout this past year dealing with the uncaring unprofessional disrespectful stingy lying dishonest staff at Pro tech and I've heard the awful stories of other families they did dirty. Guess what though you won't get away with what your doing. God sees all and knows all. He's going to fix it.

    We contracted to have an R-Anell modular built on our lot in Madison County. They were very disorganized from the selection of features (upgrades vs standard features), not having us sign all docs, VERY poor communication, shoddy sub-contractor work, delays due to our location and very poor service on punch-out items. We have been in our house almost 2 years and I still have a list of issues. They will not return calls. This has been a horrible experience.
