We did not have the opportunity to work with Mr. Tibbetts (in the end) after having interviewed him during February of 2019, having agreed that he would be the contractor chosen to build our home, and then having worked closely with him on plans and drawing up a contract right up until June 6, 2019. We all agreed in person verbally on the contract terms that very day, and he was to simply add a payment schedule to the contract and begin excavation of the site on the following Monday, June 10, 2019. He did not, however, begin excavation as promised, and then chose to completely cut off all communication with us for about three weeks. When he finally did respond to our multitude of phone, email, and text queries, it was "you are causing too much stress", and said that he did not wish to build our home any longer. He'd had five months to decide on that issue, but chose to leave us cold - and cost us a full three (3) months of construction by the time we contracted with another builder. It pushed our project well into the Swan Valley winter months.
