Professional Contracting

After another fire and removing all my sheetrock I found out the owner of this company Felipe Silva that did my framing did a sorry job . He used lumber that he screwed together. He didn't do anything by code and I can't believe this company still exists . Rip off company what goes around comes around .

I recommend avoiding Professional Contracting Builders, LLC in Belen as his workers are very unprofessional and we actually had to fix some of their work. One of the workers threw chicken bones and cigarettes in the yard despite a trash can being right there. We have dogs, so definitely didn't want that. They didn't clean up after themselves (we bought a magnetic two wheeler to clean up all the nails), they used and broke decorative bricks without asking if they could use them for their concrete mixer, and took one of my good towels to hammer up and block a new doorway! When replacing all our windows, they removed the old ones right before lunch, broke for an hour lunch and left the house open in the middle of summer. They also left without notification one day, leaving openings. Both are unacceptable with the bugs we have in the summer. I could go on, but I think you get the picture. I don't understand how they are selected as 'Best contractor' when I'm not the only one to have issues with them.

Felipe and his crew did a large project for me (back porch) and myriad smaller items to repair our new home. Short version: I'll definitely be using them again and recommending them, but you need to be engaged. They are not a set-and-forget crew.

In general, the quality of the work is high. The porch is exactly as we imagined it and we're quite happy. The only issues I have with some of the work is the fit and finish. Roofing nails missing the joists weren't redone, so now there are nails hanging into my porch. The ramset nails they used to attach the base plate to the concrete pad had some kind of wax/rubber around them which wasn't completely removed prior to painting, so there are weird nubs sticking up on the base plate. Some of the screws on door moulding weren't puttied over.

The biggest issue I had with them was communication and scheduling. Felipe forgot a few parts of the project and things got dropped a few times. It worked out because I was paying close attention, but I think he may just have too much going on so things will fall between the cracks. Scheduling was a regular issue. Our project took place right outside of our bedroom, so we wanted to know the night before if they would be there. It was about 50/50 whether they'd give us that heads up.

They also broke an expensive high security lock and I was not reimbursed or discounted. On the scale of the project, it was a rounding error in cost, but it's the principle of the matter on that one.

Felipe Silva and his sidekick Art are the worst people I have encountered in long time. This company ripped me off for $52,000. And laughed to my face about it. They demolished my house and started to fix it but demanded another forty seven thousand from me when I asked them to show proof of my my money being spent on my house Felipe shows me his new location in Bernalillo. Which now is out of business . That's called Karma. Felipe stole my bathroom and left my house uninhabitable. This company will rip you off first chance they get. Felipe was supposed to restore my house after a fire and destroyed it worse. After another fire I recovered and am looking for a contractor to help me on my $200,000 project. I won't be calling Felipe that's for sure. Maybe his son in a couple years.

Felipe and his team did an amazing job installing our new kitchen backsplash! Felipe gave me a competitive and accurate quote almost immediately (on the weekend!), and was able to start as soon as we had the materials on hand.

Everyone we interacted with was kind, considerate, communicative, and trustworthy, and the work they did was of the highest quality! We'll definitely be using them again for future projects!

Felipe and his team are honest, hard working professionals who do the job right. They repaired my master shower drain pan by removing the old tile and leaky drain pan, then installing a new drain pan correctly and replacing the tile. The team arrived on time, completed the project on schedule and came in under budget. I would recommend this contractor and plan to use them again in the future. Thanks for doing a great job!

Professional Contracting Builders has been a breeze to work with. I hired them to renovate my kitchen. From first meeting Art who is professional, kind and helpful with design ideas, they have made this project painless. Art was patient with me through the selection process of my granite which took me a few visits and changing my mind. There was never a day that went by that I did not talk to at least one or two guys, and let me add that they called me, not me trying to find them! These guys are all hard workers, nice and a pleasure to deal with. The kitchen project is now complete & absolutely beautiful!! I decided to hire them to change out all of my ceiling canned lights and once again it was completed quickly and efficiently by their electrician who knows his stuff and just a nice guy! I highly recommend Professional Contracting Builders.

Remodeling and construction companies are not generally known for professionalism and timeliness. Thankfully, my experience with this one defied the typical. Each step of the process was painless. Our kitchen was recently remodeled by Professional Contracting builders. It was a great experience and the remodeling was completed ON TIME. The workers were always very polite and clean which i loved and Felipe the owner is a great person! I am happy to review their business with a 5 star review because they did an amazing job. I wanted to start off by saying that I rarely if ever review anything. But, i was so impressed with this company that i felt like they truly deserved it. We have been needing to replace our floors for the longest time, but we weren't sure how much it would cost and it's also a pain to move everything! I had a couple contractor come estimate how much it would cost and most of them didn't seem very professional and they were pricy, but then we called Professional Contracting Builders and wow! I was impressed on them being on time and professional. They quoted me at a great price, I was a little worried on how it would turn out but they did an amazing job. I absolutely love my new floor and the best part was they were very clean. They left little to no dust! Very impressed with this company.

Felipe is a straightforward kind of guy, i showed him what needed to be done and what i wanted and he envisioned everything that i wanted. He even told me how i could save time and money. I mean this guy knows how to run his business built on ethics and value. His crew does an amazing job, i mean it when i say he envisioned everything that i wanted. About a month ago, i heard about this company and i figured i would give them a shot to at least get an estimate. I wasn't ready to hire before i met them but the owner was very nice and he gave me deal that i couldn't say no to. So, i went again and followed through with him and wow! i was not disappointed at all. I am very impressed with the work they did, just look at how beautiful my shower looks like now! Great company with great people running and working in it.

For a little job his crew did an amazing job with details and everything. They were very clean and organized, which is something that i loved because i didn't have to clean after anyone it was ready to move everything back in. I hired Professional Contracting Builders to additionally make my porch bigger. Felipe and his crew were very professional and easy to work with. Its been difficult to find a good contractor in the Albuquerque/Belen area so i highly recommend them, they did an amazing job!

Had Felipe and his crew do my roof and they worked fast and great!! It was suppose to rain one of the last days of getting the roof finished and they worked hard to finish it a day early. I'm very impressed with their work, i will definitely be hiring them again.

As i write this review, i am still so grateful for the incredible work and workmanship Felipe and his crew did in my master bathroom tile and shower. Since the first day i hired them, they did nothing but work hard to do a great job and it definitely shows if you look at the pictures. Let me start off by saying, its not easy to find a good contractor that will be as diligent and hard working as professional contracting builders. They surprised me on how well they did and how affordable it was for the high end work they do. If you're looking for a general contractor, look no further!! They did an amazing job on my flooring, bathroom and fireplace!

Professional Contracting Builders did an amazing job, i had them come over to do an estimate for my guest bathroom. They had great prices for their high quality work, i couldn’t say no. It was a no brainer. Two weeks later they finished the job and it came out spectacular. Everyone that comes over always complements their work!
