Contractor was hired for Plumbing only for a new 4 piece Bathroom Addition, including new laundry facilities & water heater from approved building plans. This Plumbing Contractor consistently did what was easier for him, instead of following the building plan drawings. He was lazy and just did whatever was the quickest for him. This caused repercussions with deviations required to specified multiple electrical placements, window placements, difficulties with insulation, the dryer venting, the washer installation, and other aspects. Contractor installed the shower mechanisms incorrectly, the shower drain too high, the dryer vent incorrectly, the gas line 3' from where it was required and did not complete the tie-ins at the septic. The water lines were run through the attic haphazardly, creating a dangerous and unsafe environment by having the water lines just running in the air instead of tacking them down to 2 x 6's. This is a safety violation, blocking a path in an already tight space to service ductwork, gas lines and other household utilities. (3) Gas Leaks were detected from this contractor’s work, (2) in the attic and (1) at the dryer valve. Contractor did not reply to (6) calls, multiple texts and a certified letter, asking him to contact us to do the final phase of the contracted work and to make the repairs to the gas leaks that were his errors. Contractor put our family and property at risk with the gas leaks, and we received absolutely no response from the contractor. He abandoned us and the contract we had with him. We were forced to hire another Plumber to repair Progressive's errors on Gas Leaks & to finish the final phase of work. Dave Dickson’s work cost us money in every aspect of the building due to his sloppy work.
