    Single Room Remodel project

    I hate giving such a bad rating. I like Brandon. I think he is well intentioned. However not being onsite and with a fairly junior and inexperienced team, this means problems. Poor work product from team members who have little experience. Extremely poor use of time - lots of wasted time. The 2 week job took over 8 weeks when I had to end it. It was unfinished and 50% over budget.

    Some details: Floor sanding went fine. Filling the gaps with epoxy was an unmitigated disaster. I gave them very specific guidelines how to do this. They did not listen and spent nearly 2 weeks trying to pour epoxy with no sealing underneath. Consequently my cellar and the nearly 300 year old beams are completely destroyed. Their idea of sealing was tape and when the epoxy continued to leak into the cellar, they tried stopping it with paper towels. There is now paper towels jammed into the floor boards and beams that cannot be removed because they are soaked through with hardened epoxy. Although Brandon has agreed to restore this , I have not heard from him in over a month.

    And that was just the beginning. I had an exterior door that was to be restored. Brandon came by late one day and using a hammer proceed to break the panels of the door. It then took his best worker nearly a week to try to restore the door. They painted the exterior side of the door with no primer and now the door has resin seeping through the paint.

    They did install a window and that seemed to be very well done however the exterior framing is incomplete leaving a gap exposed in the original facing material. Clapboard was installed with the wrong side out.

    It took nearly a week for them to manufacture a chair rail that was unlike the other railing in the room.

    I have had a replacement contractor complete the room in less than 2 weeks and everything is top notch. And for a fraction of what I paid Brandon.

    We had a great experience working with Brandon and his crew. They finished when they said they were going to and the rooms came out exactly as I had envisioned them. Highly recommend using them.
