Same company, various names... Had a custom explosion proof fridge looked at by Polar. The coils corroded so it no longer cooled. Was told by the Polar tech only the coils would need replacing - ~$2000.00 repair. After some time Polar repaired and it worked for a couple of hours. They came back after some time and again got it to run for about an hour. Repeated with same outcome a few more times. Finally tech said the compressor seized. Sofia the Polar rep I spoke with stated the tech is extremely experienced. That is a joke - I had other fridge service companies come to look at the fridge and they all stated Polar should have recommended to replace coils and compressor, especially since corrosion was visible. Funny enough I had my personal house fridge repaired for the same issue, and the young tech even stated to always recommend to replace both coils and compressor. A few of them stated most likely they only the recommended the lower cost repair route to get the work and knowingly knew eventually the compressor would give out. Crooks, crooks, crooks. Polar is now asking for ~$2900 for replacing the compressor. Also the Polar's email address is not monitored. Run away.
