First of all, Harry came out and saw what had to be done, and marked off the parts of the driveway I wanted repaired. Two other contractors had taken real looks without marks. Then Harry gave a price close to half of the others, and I asked how he could do so much better; he said it was because he had a smaller company. I asked for a written contract, and eventually he did print out what he had told me he would do, and signed it. It was a broad brush description of the work, and covered what we had discussed, but sparse on detail. I decided to trust him, and when he came with his small crew and full equipment, he did everything as promised. Beautiful job. I handed him his check with a smile.
