In 9/2019 Mark put on a new deck and did a good job. I paid him $500 to apply two coast of finish to the deck. Per Mark's suggestion, this was to be applied one year after the deck was completed. This is NOT been done. I tried multiple time to contact him, but was totally ignored. Calls were not returned. He had his money and we still have an unfinished deck.,

    Kitchen Remodel

Mark and his crew just finished up a kitchen remodel for us as well as opening up another wall in the dining room and adding barn doors, and he also added shiplap to one of our bedrooms and we are ecstatic with the results of everything! He is so meticulous with making sure everything looked perfect and was exactly how I wanted it. When I say perfect- I mean perfect. The guys were all very polite, never made me feel uncomfortable for being at home or probably somewhat in their way with our toddler, and made sure to clean everything up every single day so that we could continue to live comfortably among all the construction. What impressed me even more was that he made sure there wasn't anything laying around that could possibly hurt my kids or our dog. We are already wanting him to come back and add a mudroom to the back of the house this summer and will 100% have him build an addition for us at some point in the future. I'm so thankful we used Quality Building for all the work that was done and am LOVING my house and new kitchen. Mark- thank you so much for everything!

    Third floor Addition

We hired Mark early 2018 to add a third floor addition to our 3 bedroom split level home. The addition included a great room, den, hallway with laundry closet, master bedroom, master bath and walk in closet. We felt very comfortable with Mark and his crew right from the start. During the entire process he did his best to keep our home as clean as possible before leaving each day. They started shortly after 7am and worked until 430pm or later Monday through Friday and often Saturdays and or Sundays if needed. Mark and his crew were very dedicated and in two short months our addition was completed to perfection. Mark definitely had a vision for our home and was always there to offer his expert opinion to steer us in the right direction and to answer any and all questions we had along the way. His attention to detail is evident in his high quality of workmanship. He is by far the best contractor we have ever worked with and we will use him again for more upcoming projects. We highly recommend Quality Building and Restoration to anyone looking to make improvements to your home. Mark is the best!!

We were looking to build a two story addition with an Inlaw suite onto our 200-year-old farmhouse when a friend referred us to Quality Building Restoration. The job was big!! It included remodeling the original kitchen, remodeling second floor bathroom, conversion of walk-in closet to a second floor laundry room, new 2nd story master suite with outdoor balcony deck, new first floor in-law suite, and converting the entire house to central air. At the start of the project we didn’t have a clear idea of what exactly we wanted but Mark helped us come up with the a beautiful design for our home. He also accommodated our changing requests along the way. The character of the original house is so detailed we wanted everything to match including all the trim, deep window sills, and soffit around the perimeter of the house. The transition from old to new is flawless and the quality of the construction is superb. We are so thankful to Quality Building and Restoration for helping us build our forever home. We would highly recommend QBR to anyone.

    Second Story Attic Addition/Remodel

We used QBR in 2017 for a master bedroom suite addition to our KOP late 50s home. QBR did a quality job for a reasonable price. We turned our attic into a master bedroom suite with a bathroom, walk-in closet and linen/storage closet. On top of that QBR replaced all of the siding, roofing and gutters to match the new addition with a seamless look. Now our older home looks like a newer home inside and out. We will definitely use QBR again in the near future for more of our home wish list improvements. We also highly recommend QBR for any type of home restoration need.

We had QBR do an addition to our home in 2017. Our renovation included demolition of an existing attic to add a new story to our split level late 50s home. Mark gave us a reasonable price for a quality job. He gave us a new master bedroom, bathroom, walk-in closet and linen closet. On top of that everything on the exterior including the siding, gutters, and roofing was replaced to match the addition. It looks like a newer home inside and out. We will definitely use QBR for more of our home wish list improvements in the near future. And we highly recommend QBR for any type of home renovations.

Rebuild an entire house after loss due to fire

House burned down in 2016. QBR was working on the street at several properties. Sought three bids. One bidder dropped out. Reviewed the workmanship of both remaining bidders. Chose QBR based on value (price and quality of work). Took a one floor 1500 sq ft house, 1 1/2 bath, 3 bedroom and upgraded to a 2550 sq ft two floor house, 3 1/2 bath (master baths, there's two of them, are unbelievable), 4 bedrooms. QBR worked with Public Adjuster extremely well. Neighbors commented on how QBR attacked our site starting at 7:00 a.m. every morning. Saturdays as well. The burned out shell of the house was transformed in 8 months to a two floor MASTERPIECE. Added a front porch which we use every day. Added a concrete patio with fire pit in back which is absolutely beautiful. When I say masterpiece, it doesn't even do Mark's work justice. Mitered corners PERFECT in crown and cove moldings. Bathroom tile work distinctly different from bathroom to bathroom. Tile is expertly placed and finished. 1st floor master bath has white quartz on top of make up table, vanity and surrounding Jacuzzi...breathtaking. 250 sq ft kitchen transformed with quartz peninsula, countertops, coffee nook and desk. Tile backsplash in kitchen expertly done and is lit from under cupboard all around. Again, breathtaking. Hire this contractor. If I could give 6 stars I would. Mark Potash is an artist. Several times when I was with him, he would step back, look at something and pick out an imperfection before either my wife or I did. His team immediately fixed it. Best communicated to through text if not in person. Trustworthy. A man I admire. And, like I said, an artist. Please, arrange through Mark to come see our house and others he's transformed on our street. All the best!!!

    build addition
    $40,000
    40 days

Mark took down my deck that was in disrepair and replaced it with a beautiful all-season addition. We had only a vague idea of what we wanted, and he offered valuable suggestions about how to design the room that reflected our wishes. He and his crew did quality work from start to finish, were always available, and addressed all of our concerns as the project progressed. Mark always came up with thoughtful, sensible ways to take care of the little side issues that emerged during the project. Since he is a hands-on person, he knows the intricacies of all aspects of the job and is skilled in all of them. I always had a sense that he wanted to build an addition that he would be proud of and that we would be pleased with. I felt like he was our advocate at every phase of the work. We depended on him when we weren't sure about design or material issues, and he was always helpful while also respecting what we wanted. His helpers were all very respectful and courteous. Even though he had other projects coming up, it certainly didn't interfere with his giving total dedication of his time and concentration to ours. And I feel confident that if I needed to contact him in the future he would make himself available and address any concerns. A five-star rating is well deserved.

    build 3 story house
    $350,000
    200 days

Mark built us a 3 story 4500sq ft house with 4 and a half baths a kitchen, elevator and a butler pantry (basically a 2nd kitchen with no oven). We used the existing structure for the first floor but he gutted the whole floor and redid everything. He removed the original 2nd floor and added a new 2nd and third floor. The third floor is an in-law suite (basically an apartment for my parents and handicap brother). He added an elevator and custom handicap shower to make the third floor suitable for my brother. The work is great. Mark does almost all the work himself and takes great pride in what he does. He was flexible and made changes on the go. I would recommend him to anyone with any size project.

He called and made an appointment to give me an estimate. I was concerned about the distance to my home which he said was no problem. The day of his appointment, he never showed. I called to see what happened and he never called back.

    Detached Garage
    $45,000
    40 days

You can't go wrong with Mark. He works efficiently, keeps a clean job site, isn't interested in wasting your time or money, and does beautiful work. Moreover, different from other builders, he's not bidding on a job only to outsource it to other contractors. You will see him on the job site, working right alongside everyone else to get the job done, as needed. In my case, it was construction of a detached garage, with a small attic. He appreciated my interest in keeping with the style of the house (Tudor Craftsman), worked well with the architect, and was accommodating of changes along the way. I'm thrilled with the final product! Going forward, I couldn't imagine having anyone else out to my place to do work. He wasn't the cheapest nor the most expensive, but definitely was the best in my view. Hire him. You won't be sorry.

    Quality Building & Restoration

I cannot say enough of how happy I am that I went with Mark at Quality Building & Restoration when deciding to add a large second floor to my ranch home. Master Bedroom w/ Master Bath, 2 additional bedrooms, Bathroom, Laundry Room and Open Foyer. From Day 1 to the completion of the project he was professional, clean, efficient and well organized. Mark's pricing for the job was very reasonable . His workmanship is amazing. He showed up everyday, completed the job on time and went out of his way to make sure the job met my expectations and it turned out beautiful. Highly Recommend!!

When I decided to undertake a somewhat major renovation (finished basement with large full bathroom), I was very concerned about getting a contractor that was reputable and did quality work - and I was especially concerned about finding someone whom I could trust to do a below-grade bathroom. I contacted four contractors, three of whom came out to review the prospective job . . . all were very professional . . . and I couldn't get an estimate from any of them! Fell off the planet. Obviously not qualified to do the bathroom part. I called Mark in desperation (I originally thought he wouldn't travel the distance to my home, so I hadn't contacted him originally). He was on time for the appointment, doing a thorough walk-through of what I wanted. He brought his license and a page with at least 7 homeowners I could contact to get their opinion. I spoke with several and heard nothing but the highest praise. Now I had a contractor. I had DETAILED, COMPLETE paperwork within a few days - down to the last nail! Lol. There were several revisions made throughout the process - some were mine, others were Mark's suggestions. He showed up every day until the job was complete; no bouncing around between jobs. Bottom line: project done on time. Quality/Workmanship: outstanding. Knowledge of the job: outstanding. Neatness: outstanding. Professionalism: outstanding. And on top of that, a really nice guy!! I am completely comfortable recommending him to anyone who has a renovation or building project to do. You will be in good hands!

Quality Building and Restoration is exactly what Mark does! We had two very old small bathrooms that we wanted updated, Mark came in with a very reasonable price, and the project moved along without any problems. Mark was very careful to keep our house clean as possible during construction by putting plastic down on rugs and never left a mess after a days work. We were very impressed at Marks workmanship, everything he did came out unbelievably amazing!!! We would highly recommend Quality Building and Restoration I am so happy that We found Mark (Thank you Michelle and Ralf).

We had Mark build our addition that was a master suite with master bathroom, and we added 8 feet onto an existing bedroom. The job turned out beautifully! His price for the job was very reasonable, the time line for the entire job was almost accurate ( that's only because the rain decided to show up during framing! ) But all and all we were very pleased with his professional approach and knowledge and pricing. So if we ever decide to add on again to our home Mark will be the first and only person we'll call.

Job: 200 sq ft addition onto my ranch home that became my kitchen. Price: Reasonable and fair. Quality Excellent. Time frame: On target with weather delays. Passed all inspections by my township, Blue Bell, PA. Any additional changes required by township at their cost. Did what I wanted done. Only made recommendations when warranted. Will only have them work on my house from now on.
