What a joke! I hired John Piccalo (Quality Pools) to install my 21’ above ground, but sunken pool. He came out the first week of April 2021 to dig the hole (I’ve since learned this is way too early). The crew hit the water table, then stopped: said they’d come back when it dried up: They never came back to check or install the site. When I reached out later in the summer regarding my pool install, his initial response was “who is this?” I had to stare at a hole in my backyard and a pile of dirt for 15 months. The following spring, I switched installers and went with PoolGuyz (based in Taylor, Mi). My pool is in and looks great! Save your time and money and do not hire Quality Pools. They are not good.

John was on time and was very professional with the installation of my 28’ above ground pool. They cleaned up after themselves and did a fantastic job. No complaints!

I would not recommend this contractor. He quoted me a price that he did not honor when he started the job . He would not measure where the pool location would be he said his “eyeballs are good enough.” He did not want to do the job when he showed up after about 10 minutes of uneasy confrontation. He left abruptly . This man John Piccolo is very unprofessional. I wasted a day off of work because of his lack of commitment . I had another company install my pool and they did a great job the company is “Pool Guys” and they service south east Michigan .

Quality Pools (John Piccolo) is by far the worst company I have had the experience of dealing with. Extremely unprofessional, wouldn’t commit, said he couldn’t pull permit because he was at capacity (lie, no such thing, he didn’t want to be responsible), blamed everyone for miscommunication but in fact he would come out to my residence to have a thorough conversation, didn’t care on how I wanted the pool set up he wanted to do it his way for the convenience of him.

    So... I fired him!

And what upsets me the most is that John Piccolo still owes me money from my deposit. He wrote me a receipt on the amount he owes me and has failed to return my money!!!!

I’ve reached out several time with negative response.

I would rate Quality Pools, John Piccolo a zero if I could.

    Complete CROOK...

This guys is the worst. Never commits to a date, claims he is the best and then backs out last minute. Have a professional install your pool not this clown.

John and his crew installed a beautiful in ground pool for us. The workmanship is top notch. Though there was delays mainly from the weather, the end result was amazing. Paul n Christine.

my pool installation has been a nightmare. The pool is in and running I've been waiting three weeks for the company to come back and backfill all the dirt. The pool team is very unprofessional .
