My warning to homeowners is - DO NOT use Rae E. Miller or Property Masters for your landscape work. I typically would not write a bad review but this was a very expensive, multi-phased backyard project that went horribly bad during the last phase when I was out of the country. We hired Rae E. Miller (landscape architect, project manager) and Property Masters Landscape & Design to fix our drainage issues in our backyard last year. They re-graded our entire backyard to allow water to drain toward a large, cement-encased drain in our neighbor's yard. In the last phase of the project, their grading work failed miserably. They made the drainage issue even worse than before. Our backyard is literally a swamp after every rainfall now. The new sod has drowned and died. After months of trying to get Rae to come back, she finally did in February with her new landscaper who confirmed the grading issue required a removal of at least 7 inches of dirt to allow water to drain. After hearing that from her new landscaper, Rae has refused to return to do the re-work.
Property Masters is at fault too. Not only did their grading job failed, they tried to install the wrong sod in our backyard after several pieces drowned and died. They tried to convince us that the wide-bladed sod is the same as the zoysia sod that was already installed in our backyard. The difference is very distinct. We have pictures. Rae Miller gave us 2 choices – either let them install the wrong sod or Property Masters will not come back.
I have tried every effort to contact Rae Miller to address these issues and offer solutions. Needless to say, Rae is too busy ignoring me. So I'm spreading the news to our neighbors and will file a formal complaint with the Georgia Department of Law’s Consumer Protection Division & BBB etc.
