I live in a recently renovated condominium that used RAEFCO. Leaks have popped up in many different areas of the building, resulting in significant damage to our drywalls. There is now mold growing in between the walls and in the basement of building (where water leaked from shower pipes from 1st floor). When another plumber came to take corrective action, he determined that RAEFCO used plastic fitters when attaching PVC pipe to metal pipe. Though this is not against Richmond City code, it is not best practice. My plumber indicates that these plastic fitters have a ten year lifespan, max, and that they are essentially ticking time bombs. In an effort to cut costs, this company has caused thousands of dollars of damage to my unit and to the condo building as a whole. Avoid!!!!
