I closed on my brand new built home August 2015 and here it is April 2018 and my roof has water damage. The ceiling in one of my bedrooms is falling down and I really think they used Chinese dry wall on all my walls. Insurance came out to give me a quote on the roof and later tells me it could not be fixed under insurance because the builders put the incorrect size shingles on my roof. Again, now the ceiling in one of my bedrooms is falling down. No one will answer or return my calls after repeated voicemails. I’m so upset. I think I will get a lawyer involved. They have made my first home buying experience horrible.

I signed a contract with Ram Homes on Nov 2 2016 and as of today July 23 2017 the home still sits incomplete! Just like the other complaints before I had time restraints I kept extending my lease until I couldn't any more because my apartment was leased out! The contract estimated date of closing was 3/31/2017 no one reached out to my realtor or me to create another closing date! My realtor had to reach out to their realtor (atleast 3 or 4 times before he actually responded) to get answer on a completion date! They didn't start breaking ground til Mid Jan then thing went pretty fast then came to a complete stand still! There was no bad weather in sight for the 120 days it was suppose to take to build the home but after March we kept hearing we are 45 days away from completion then May we were again 45 days away then in June we are 45 days away again! It was ridiculous! I called several times so did my realtor to Ram Homes Inc and never heard back from Randy the bookkeeper always said he was sooooo busy (yay busy doing nothing). Their realtor Scott Vosburgh was just as sketchy as they come as well as Ram Homes! Believe me they are all about money and getting a contract signed and don't care about anybody else! They constantly was throwing each other under the bus because my realtor starting asking for compensation for all the unexcused delayed and Scott would give a response as if it came from the builder then when we chose the compensation he offered Scott then said the builder never said he would do such thing! All this was recorded on email (smh)! I went by the office in July to check on the status of my home because at the time me and my 1 year old son was gonna be homeless at the end of the week and I open the door to the office and Randy the owner never turned around to acknowledge who walked in his office! He continued messing on his iPad and asked his bookkeeper who it was! When he finds out who I am he precedes to get up fix his clothes (so unprofessional) and asked what I wanted. I asked about my home and the completion date and he says we are 2 weeks away so I asked why we still have 2 weeks and tell him my housing situation with my 1 year old! He then tells me I just want to argue and be confrontational! I just wanted to see what the delays was because his realtor wasn't communicating with mine so he says he has 60 Homes which are all 30 days behind (mind you it's almost mid July 2017 and my contract says completion 3/31/2017) way past 30 days! I mentioned that to him and he didn't like it and told me again I was being confrontational and I needed to leave! So before I left I mentioned a lawyer and he says "you have your realtor call my realtor and terminate your contract, that's why we don't have our name on the door so people won't stop by this office" I said because you're running a shady business! Needless to say I am now out of that contract and under contract with a new builder I also got my earnest money back as well because he didn't want a lawsuit on his hands! I will never recommend this builder to anyone or his realtor Scott Vosburgh Stay far away from the both of them they are shady as a tree blocking the sun!

I have been waiting on closing since April May as promised. They have put me off and now its almost August. They poured concrete for another house but couls not do a driveway for mine. Randy the supervisor shook my hand in promising a completion date but has back tracked 3 times. The bank is charging for not closing and Randy refuses to pay the cost. Stay away. Hell they wont answer a phone, text,or email.

My entire experience with Ram Home was awful.Randy attitude was really nasty. He explained to me that I Better be glad he even build affordable housing. He definitely did not stand behind his yearly warranty at all.I had to pay for my own screen door. They install it incorrect he came out here and ask me what did I want him to do he had other homes that need to be completed. It was nothing he could do very unpleasant not professional he also told me I should be grateful he even build affordable housing. I will never buy from them ever again. Im very displeased with this house. I have tried to work with this company he fell each time. They are horrible. Get your money then it's a wrap. Think twice before you decide on him at all.

I am so disgusted with this company. I am a single mother of 3 and homeownership has always been a dream of mine. With that being said, I signed my contract in May and we broke ground the first week of June. From June until Sept the house sat as a concrete slab and it was not until I began to yell at them about this did they frame it. It has sat as a frame since then...no walls or floors. They added rough plumbing, HVAC and electrical in Nov. I had my pre-drywall inspection Nov 30 at that time I was told we were about 2 weeks from drywall...only to see as of Jan 9 that nothing had changed since Nov. In asking for updates, I have been given false information. There is no sense of urgency on their part and that is not ok. This has been the worst experience ever. Oh and lets not forget the countless times I told them about not having my bathroom window cut out which I paid for, um yeah the put in a tub/shower pan. I am over the process and I will be rescinding my offer.

By Javell Z.August 9, 2016New Home construction$121,000145 days
We have and are still waiting for the construction to finish at the home we put in a bid and signed the contract for. It's been under construction since April. We have given our 30-day notice to our current landlord and will soon be homeless with our kids. Not sure why the delay. Monies have been paid and the VA is all approved. I have accepted a job offer in the area and my son is set to start his first year of middle school. This has been a terrible experience for us as first time home buyers and the realtor and brokers all state they have no clue on what the delay of construction is. The foundation, beams, electrical wiring, a tub (the wrong tub), insulation and water services are all there and it has been that way for 2 months now. I would not recommend this company to anyone and the realtor feels the same way. We are currently working on withdrawing our offer and looking for another home and a temporary place to live.
A very unsatisfied first-time homebuyer

I 'am very upset with this company these building are the worst I ever had to deal with I have been waiting 7 months for a home that the land still not done. this is ridiculous no one reach out to you and let you know where the are at with your house If I have to pay more for a good trusted company to build me a home I will I should have read the reviews before I sign the contract people listen to me stay...….away from these building go to Express homes they get the job done they have build a whole community in 7 months and RAM Homes still working on 4 homes that they cant even complete its ridiculous. They just have excuse after excuse and it's done got old to every one that sign a contract with these people pay the money and go to someone that cares about you!
