One and a half years ago, I had a MAJOR MOLD problem in my condo in South Florida. At the time, I was living in NY ... and since I wasn't retired yet, I was at my condo once or twice a year. But when the pandemic started, I did not go to my condo for about 10 months, During that 10 months, my thermostat died -- actually, the batteries died so the thermostat stopped working which caused the A/C unit not to go into 'cooling mode'. My sister who was watching my condo said that the A/C was working (which it was - but just NOT cool/cold enough.
When I finally got to Florida, I encountered my worst nightmare. The management company of the development gave me the names of two 'mold remediation' companies. I hired one company and they did a good job. The supervisor of that company who was in charge of the 'mold cleanup' recommended Ram Quality Group for my new A/C unit. (I might not have really needed a new A/C unit ... I might have only needed a new thermostat / or maybe just new batteries ... but since this condo was going to become my new and permanent home at some point in the near future, I decide to go for a new A/C unit and a Google Nest Thermostat so that I could control the temperature from NY.
While I was still in NY, I had a problem and I had to call Google. Then, Ram Quality Group had to make a service call on my A/C that was under one year old and that was $120 (on top of the $3,000 I paid for the A/C unit).
A few months later ... while still in NY, I had another A/C problem, but I was leaving in a few days to go to my condo. My Google Nest app on my phone was showing me that I had a problem. So, a couple of weeks ago when I arrived in Florida, Ram Quality Group came to my condo again. My thermostat would show "No Power" on the face to the thermostat (and on my app). My A/C would stop ... I would pull out the brand new filter and push it back in and the A/C would start again. This happened a number of times before Ram Quality Group sent their guy. So this second service visit was another $120. Twenty minutes after the service guy left - "No Power" on my thermostat and the A/C was not working. I called the boss at Ram Quality Group and I called the repair guy who was at my condo. Both voice mails were full and nobody returns my text messages. Finally, the guy who did the repair texted me and wrote that they will try to get a guy there the next day. Someone did come ... and he cleared out some pipes ... I tipped Jim $20 ... he left, and 20 minutes later - the same "No Power"!! My calls to the company all ended with "The (voice) mailbox is full".
I took to writing e-mails AND TRANSLATED them into SPANISH because the boss does't really understand English that well, I even called the repair guy and he answered the phone. I told him you just fixed it and is stopped working again, He replied "No hablo ingles".
My net result --> I used a Mold Remediation company that was very good. The supervisor recommended his friend whose maid language in Spanish. Hey, I like to say that I get along with everybody ... but when one is spending tons of money and the company CANNOT return calls (even when I translated the messages into Spanish) and sent those text message .... I have to give Ram Quality Group a terribly, awful review.
