    Steve Wilson constantly didn’t show up for scheduled appointments. 1. 1/2 years later he still hasn’t finished the job that he was paid for. He also bounced a check for our refund of $17,000. He is a thief.

    Bottom Line:
    Breached contract: failed to perform, misrepresented time in which work would be completed, and abandoned renovation of kitchen, laundry, and master suite.

    Steve is incompetent. He clearly does not care about his customers, cannot plan the work or manage his crew or subcontractors, and seldom keeps his word. Before signing the contract, we expressly told Steve to have the job complete before our son was born; being without a kitchen or laundry with a newborn was not an option. Steve told us repeatedly that won’t be a problem in the 4.5-month time frame. Our son is now 3 months old, we have no kitchen, no master suite, and a jerry-rigged laundry in the basement.

    Steve was often unreachable via call, email, and text and seldom bothered to respond in any way. When he did answer, we were always asked “what’s up?” as if we were inconveniencing him by calling to find out why nothing has been done for weeks, or when he plans to show up to do any work. While he often would tell us “I will get that estimate tonight” or “We will be there in 2 days to do X, Y, Z” he would often not show up, and never apologized or acknowledge his absence. He was always “making other customers happy,” or something else would come up; either way, we would find this out by calling him several hours after he stated he would be here.

    We had precisely 3 days’ worth of work performed in the month of January…and certain tasks which were promised to be complete in early November have yet to be started. Furthermore, Steve is incapable of scheduling his sub-contractors properly. He allowed his plumber to blow us off for 7 weeks before finally bringing in someone else; his tiler has been promised every week this month, and has yet to show up. Latest update is “we are on the tiler’s list,” so I guess he will show up whenever he feels like it.

    We have found another contractor who is trustworthy and actually wants our business. We suggest you do the same.
