I hired Ray from "Ray's Gardening" to service the little landscaping there was at my new duplex.
We agreed to a verbal $250 a month.
I paid him for August. After 3 weeks of terrible yard service, I did not mention this. I just said that I no longer needed his services. I even thanked him for the services not wanting any bad blood.
He told me I COULDN'T cancel. I'd have to pay for ANOTHER month $250 BEFORE I could cancel.
He tried to tell me he had serviced my yard "last week" and "last week" was September. "Last week" was in fact August (the month I paid him $250 for) So I told him this, and reiterated that we were done with our agreement and he would no longer service my duplex.
He then said "I'm not arguing with you," and HUNG UP on me.
This "Ray" now continues to bill me EVERY MONTH for yard services he is NOT PROVIDING. He is not even coming out to attempt to service my yard, yet sending me bills like he is.
He has sent me a bill EVERY MONTH
I now just received "past dues" totalling $1000.
I'm a businessman, a respectable citizen, and I deal with hundreds of vendors.
I have never experienced something as strange or as unprofessional as this.
